Exactly. Getting a program grind for you doesn't count as "playing". Lulz0rz

I've read all the posts in this thread. I didn't reply to your post because you didn't bring anything new to this "discussion". Your thread ignores all previous posts and threads about this legit vs bot "discussion" that has been going on for the last few years on this forum. Oh, and you're still a dumbass.
If Joymax supports botting, they'll change the rules and stop banning bots. They might even make more money that way who knows. Since they don't, then there is no discussion.

Goseki wrote:It doesn't. However, if a person uses the program to get to a later point in the game so he/she can play the later parts of the game such as FW, or jobbing, than that is when they actually play. It's unfair for us as legits who must do this by hand, but it happens. We as legits want to play the entire game, botters just wanna play the end game. I still see both as playing, just simply one is taking a correct and legit route while the other is cheating.
This wouldn't happen of course if JM simply actually banned botters. People wouldn't have to be capped to stand a chance at jobbing and FW, and ppl wouldn't have to bot for that reason. If JM actually banned botters, than the only reason for botting remaining would be that they are selfish and want to own everyone else no matter what, or that they want to see the final skills (in which case pk2 would be an easier way).
@ nuclear, Good luck killing my dog when it's already dead. It's people like you that I despise. You think everything is in black and white when it never is. Sure we all here at SRF agree that botters are bad, but the topic here is why are you still legit. Botters are clearly part of the community now and JM doesn't pursue them like they say they do. From the poll, it's clear that many of us are now friends with botters. I'm sure like many, I have been offered to bot by my friends as well. I still wonder at times why i decline their invitation. We can either be friends with them and not join them. However, with your views nuclear, we can either join them or just play the game with ourselves and maybe 4 other legits on our servers. (cept venus).

Actually, i think that seeing things in black and white is an easy way to judge. I just don't accept the fact that you're agreed with a thing, then the next sentence you denied it completely with a "BUT...". Yes is yes, no is no, there is no "yes, but"...

So actual bot bans are not when bots are banned? What's the difference between bots really? Every inspection, players who don't cheat might be half hopeful for a change, but that isn't all that keeps people playing legit to stay legit. The only reason I'm legit, it's because that is the only way to play a game.
Would a botter be fearful every inspection? I know you are since you state it as a reason that you fear risking your account getting banned for botting. You believed and feared that it would be possible, yet you dismiss Joymax completely and stated that as the reason why people bot. Your reasoning is just as flexible, if not confused. Hopefully your dick is flexible also, so you can shove it in your own ass. While you're at it, the rest of your post are just ass-umptions.

Goseki wrote:Sure hope you're not accusing me of botting though. I also never said it's an inevitable fact. Did you read? I just say that it's very common due to JM's lax policies. Sure we as players are responsible for having trying it and making it, but I still think it's JM and their weak-ass approach at containing bots that led to this.

We are discussion about bots/legits, i don't care if you should making friends with bots or hang out with them. You have gone off topic, no one mentioned if you should or should not make friends with them. We are talking about an illegal program and the morality of the one who used it. Ofc, no one stop you to make friends with whoever you want, even with mafias or Osama Binladen

Again, you are hoping to convince everyone that everything is JM's fault.
Now, explain me why in other versions of sro, there are still bots but not as worst as this one.
@Ilyas: yes i do

IQ remains constant regardless of age, you fuckface. Clearly your head is too far up your ass to think.

Just like you when it comes to friends right? You seem to value your friends regardless if they screw the game you play

Goseki wrote:I dunno as I've only played iSRO, but do other versions have as large of a population as this one? Are there also 37 servers in other versions? Aren't other versions ran by JM for 1 country only? That could be part of it. iSRO is much more packed.
I remember hearing that kSRO is almost dead. Didn't cSRO or tSRO have a bot report function? Where a GM would check a person out if reported by multiple people?
I do. The people I met in game when I played were awesome. I could care less if they botted 24/7. We still chilled in Vent and had fun.

Because you lack of informations so your arguments and excuses can't cover everything in the sro world.
First, kSRO is dead i agreed. It's dead because less players play it. But i prefer iSRO to be that way instead of being dead by the hands of bots.
Second, arguments such as "have no time to play" (when 90% baby-sit), "hate to smash key again and again" (when 100% of MMORPG is smashing keys to use skills), "needed to be cap to enjoy" are all false. Why? Coz in other version of sro is the best example, ppl choose to play to game themself and still enjoy the game at any level. Although there are GMs, but they are not strict, they don't ban bots 100%. And yes, they are all aware that cheating will make them God, but not everyone is asshole to turned to bot. How about iSRO? At the time when GM Crayon and ladyasiana were still there, the bans can't make them fear and ppl choose to turn themself to bot.
See? both versions meet the same situation, but they lead to different paths. You clearly know that sro has a lot of Turks and almost all of them are bots and asshole. So let them cheats and do what they want. It's not like you need to join them to be able to live in sro...I do. The people I met in game when I played were awesome. I could care less if they botted 24/7. We still chilled in Vent and had fun.
GJ making friends with them. I hope they'll cheat on smt to make you misable and I also hope you girlfriend cheat on you. Since cheating doesn't reflect anything so you got no reason to get angry, right?

Goseki wrote:@ ping, sure we could've turned peer pressure against them, but do you think peer pressure is that effective in the good way?
Goseki wrote: I think it also depends on which server you play on. If I played on Venus or some other server, sure I could use peer pressure since the players in control are Legits. I can say, look at how strong legits are, come join us, it's fun and we get to pt together all the time. For an old server like mine with a population of like 10-20 legits left, what would I offer to convince them? Join me, we can be poor together as we grind slowly to cap with the 4 of us? Peer pressure only works when you actually have a group to push your point.
Goseki wrote:If we go back to the original botting problem, there was peer pressure on both sides. Legits had the excuse of the fun to grinding to cap as well as the knowledge that they can't be banned. Botters had the excuse of being capped with fully farmed skills with the risk of being banned. Than JM just stopped caring. Botters now knew that their odds of being banned were slim to none. I've seen people spam globals calling JM pussies for not banning them. They are still here. That probably puts a lot more peer pressure on players seeing as they have the option of botting, still hang out with friends, as well as being ff and capped and rich.
Goseki wrote:Once again, a game is made to be played. You have the choice to play it however you want. I can choose to play l4d the way it's intended. Or I can run around griefing, or i can run around and spam build models and trap people. HEll, I can even glitch ppl out and cause them to crash on their comp if it's fun for me. A game is meant to be fun. As long as you're having fun, you're doing it right.

Goseki wrote:People choose to play, but in iSRO, during the days of Crayon, there were nowhere near as many bots as there are now. The bot problem skyrocketed when GM's were removed from this game. It may be true that people in other versions of SRO chose to play correctly, and are nearly empty. However, this is iSRO, if there were 10 botting assholes on kSRO, as a multiple nation game, iSRO would have 1000 assholes to deal with. The international factor also makes assholes more prevalent once racial supremacist starts being thrown in.

Also, I'm aware botting is cheating. I just don't care if someone bots. That's the person I am though. I'll make friends with just about any one.
