Gens were supposed to drop 9d tabs, but instead dropped 8d. Mobs adapt for each cap.

They didn't drop 8d regardless of cap, anything above snipers didn't drop tabs. They did on the other hand - drop items.
friend got sos42 sword from npc thief which he later loaned it to me, then decided to give it to me which i later paid him.
he was sworn at by the trader and his buddy. he was just trying to be helpful during the good old days by killing thief spawns (that could kill anyone else grinding in the area). of course he found it hard to give up that sos sword.

Generals never dropped 8D tabs and the drops were just the same as any mob - stuff within 3 lvls of it
