Ignore the troll. So is the hacker an irl friend or someone you knew from your gaming travels? If my hunch is right, he isn't going to immediately NPC or sell it all. You might be able to retrieve your stuff. What if the friend that called you is the "stripper" and he is setting up the other friend? Well, best of luck.

Aside from that exploit a while ago which they fixed, the only way to get hacked would be to break into the joymax server and get the data, which is very unlikely.

Anyway. On topic - no, I have not been hacked nor ever given a password to a friend, so I can't say. However, if you really like the build, and can get help from guild members and gold enough to re-buy your stuff, and you are 100% SURE the account isn't compromised (as in, your other friend is in on it and can change the pw later), why not go for it.

i've been hacked around 26-30 times, never been able to pass lvl 39 lmao (execpt for my str glaiver, he was 57) and i lost a total of 100m(i think). i moved to venus and been hack-free and loving every moment, its mostly the people that keep me going, im 46 on venus, i only lvl when i need to.

but i kno wat its like when your good characters been stripped. im sry bro, truly em.

Yes im being serious to all you non-believers. the first 10 was by keyloggers which happened within couple weeks. i thought it was joymax since it happened around the hotan bridge glitch which sticks your char. the other 12 was from friends -.- that i trusted stupiditivly (thats prolly not a word lol). cannot recall the last couple but i basically kept returning cuz i was stupid, then it lend to plain ol' fun with friends lol (yes i kno some even befriended me).

Edit: also happened during the rev6 era, then i found out about email verification.

How to not get hacked quick guide V1.0:

1: Never share account information with "freinds"
2: Don't use any third party software
3: Never visit any suspicious sites
4: Any game related forums etc never sign up with your real e-mail
5: Don't use real e-mails on account information
6: Watch who you add to XFire
7: Watch who you add to MSN/AIM etc

I'm sure I've forgot a few such as if accepting files such as photos from people make sure they're not .INI files.
