I have tried unblocking the ports that it "looks" like it is using, but I can't be sure.
Even so, I find that if I turn off my internet I get a different error message making me baffeled. You get the other message if you turn off internet?

Any luck CLOT?

None here. I have been trying everything except getting the new client (that's not an option for me I am afraid).

Anyone else getting this problem or is it just us two?

Same thing here, no solutions yet, i also check the forum from the silkroad.net, many people have the same error, and many also downloaded many times and from different source with still facing the same error, but one person who had the same error, as he says, it got fixed after he uninstalled the old client and restarted the computer.. i tried that, but with no luck !! maybe you should give it a try, maybe you get a better luck..

I have tried uninstalling it, reinstalling it, reboot after everything and tried installing inbetween all those steps and... Nothing.

I have tried 3 different computers (all sharing the same internet connection) and have had the same problem with all :banghead:

The only problem I can see is either Router problems, or ISP problem. I am pretty sure that the client would have given me an error if it was corrupted or something.

For instance, someone who has downloaded the client VIA the offical SRO P2P method who has managed to login, please post here. Same with others, so we know where the problem might be.

Thanks all!

Axeoo: I tried uninstalling my antivirus. Nothing.
I have almost uninstalled EVERYTHING on my computer and still nothing.

I am about to give up. I know that JM will not fix this problem so I think that if no one finds a solution, JM has lost yet another customer that otherwise would have been loyal.

Wish me luck :(
