Yeah, DDoSing led to a big problem in the Halo PC Community after a while. Its nice that you want to DDoS the goldbot companies and seeing them shut down will make alot happy; but think though, script kiddies will get a hold of a DDoSing script and threaten other people with it then, just like how a few kids in the HPC community did if they didnt get their way.

I still think that goldbot massacres will help, if done daily.

Gold bot massacres? You use either a thief or trader, take some special goods, and stand near city gates waiting for either a lightning npc spawn (in chinese maps) or earth wizards (in european maps). Gold bots would just die from the area of effect splash damage. If you're referring to the ddos, well just uhm dont ok.

Coz afaik that takes a lot of resources(HR of course) and friends and and and.

Joymax has to start suing them, theres no other way. Every other person can cough up idk, 30$ for a clientless bot, get a cheap domain name, spam programs are out there and are free.

Joymax has no reason to sue them though, they make money from gold bots -> premium.

It's so refreshing to see the community engaging in an exchange of ideas towards a common goal that would stand to benefit all. I have been on the gold business bandwagon for a while now. I don't think the end always justifies the means(engaging in illegal activity). A total boycott of the gold business is what it will take (long term solution). I also think it would totally reestablish the economy of values on the server(s). I had been wondering if it was just me but it sounds like everyone sees that it's even worse now than it was. Some mates of mine attribute it to the tease about the cap being raised and that old players have returned. Well, I can tell ya many I talk to speak of dead guilds and dead unions so I wonder...where the hell are these players that have 'returned" ??

Did think a lot about these traps and what the real effect is from those gold bot traps.
Don`t you guys think gold companies will add even more goldbots due to those daily traps? some gold bots even changed routes from the standard routes they walk out of towns, the thing i really find interesting and still question myself why do gold bots tend to change routes in the towns from time to time? cant explain it the logic since they seem to be making longer routes and taking them more time to repot (kinda is strange)

You don't have to make a DoS attack on the site (whis is illegal), you can just use a vampire, a script that constantly reloads every single image on the site, leeching their bandwidth (which is perfectly legal).

If they could shut down three major Scientology websites that way, there's no doubt in my mind that the gold sites could be shut down if enough people ran vampires.

I could probably use about 50GB of their bandwidth in 24 hours on my own, as long as they can upload as fast as I download. That's a lot. And they have to pay for it.
