i've stunned and been stunned the same time, so we obviously got the hits off at the same time. i doubt we hit the skill hotkey at the same time either. i've also froze and been frozen the same time as well.

they would hit each other the same time

I've done this in Lineage 2, with wizards. The wizard that starts walking first ends up walking further and eventually attacking after the other wizard. In that game, without absolutely any lag or server-computer data transfer, it was based on the steps. Because of the way the game works, you cannot start attacking in mid-step. So you take a milisecond to position the character 's feet as they move before they go into attack position and start casting.

I know SRO has a lot buggier movements (we've all seen the sliding, or instant teleports between consecutive nukes on different enemies), but the concept should be the same. Based on the distance, whoever presses the button so that in the middle they end up starting a step as the other char stops a step will take longer to execute the skill. Granted it will be miniscule amount of time (which is why you get double KOs once in a while) it still happens.

So excluding lag, and connection speed, the next logical factor would be character movement, if you expect the attack to override the move command, the execution of the override code will also slow it down, so whoever steps into attack range first as registered by the server will also execute the commands first and end up attacking first.

Basically, a really hard to grasph technique would be to measure the distance visually and from experience know who attacks first

What about Hit ratio, which I've always thought helps hit faster.

In other games, the higher your Dexterity is the faster u will hit, so against low dex people u will get the first hit in.

technically by clikn at same time they die at the same time with same dmg.

but is never possible so forget this
boyaka boyaka.

parry ratio is abt dmg received, hit ratio is abt dmg output
nothing 2 do wif attck speed, tis is not warcraft or dota or something, there is no buffs to increase 30% attack speed

oh and dull status/freeze will slow down attack speed, but that has nothing 2 do wif parry/hit ratio
found some aim in life, something more important waiting for me

Just snipe off the mercs one by one. 1 distance shot + 1 hurrican shot is usually enough to kill of a merc, then u quickly run off run away or into safezone, wait for stealth again and repeat. Mercs gone in no time.

Why the HELL are you guys still debating who attacks first!?

It's not about who presses the key first, it's not about who has better gear, it's not about who does more damage, it's not about who's more popular, it's not about attack rating.

It's whoever's attack the server receives first!

It's as simple as that!

1. AR determines your likelihood of doing damage towards the higher end of the spectrum.

2. Even if you press the key first, you could have a lag spike, or be further away from the server than the other guy.

3. Better gear? Get off the pot.

4. Who's more popular? No, I don't think anyone even said that.. I just put that in there to excentuate the ludicrousy of some of your responses.
