I would like to stress out that most botters are Chinese because pot delay is still bloody 5 second! Extend the delay as similar as Europe, this will apply on every Chinese character. If not, botters are still alive due to auto-pots, although they suppose to be dead due to party mobs.

INCREASE THE ABUNDANCE OF PT MOBS

effectively, with the pots the delay, no player will go solo. There is a stress in need of partying and cleric.

dude, next time before you make a suggestion try to use a lil bit of intelligence. You can add pot delay, but thats not gonna stop botters. It will slow them down but not STOP them.

There are 100 better ways that has been mentioned before to stop botters. What you are suggesting is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor, search the forums, look at the rest of the suggestions. definetly way better than yours.

Naijel is a level 20 something Euro character on Venus. I seriously doubt he has ever even played a Chinese character on SRO.

From his perspective his idea is probably a great one. Chinese characters are probably just annoying and useless for him because Venus is a new server and Chinese and Euro characters are about the same level so the Chinese aren't even useful for him to ask for powerleveling.

if china gets a pot delay, no one will play it b/c the euros, even with pot delay are strong. China pot delay will just make china go extinct... however it would decrease botters. I admit, its an interesting idea, but it would just make the game one raced, instead of two.

It only takes 2 weeks to bot a euro to 8d. If JM induced pot delays, the gold companies would try Euros, figure out they're better at farming because 1. They cast faster, 2. They do more dmg, and the problem of bots would only intensify.

That would be good if you had to enter an image code when at an NPC.
If you were to implement it every hour, and have 60 seconds to enter it, do you realize how inconvenient that would be?

Or getting swamped by mobs while grinding, it would suck.

No need to really debate, seeing as I agree w/ just about everything you're saying. I agreed it was a good idea in the first post I made, probably not in the best of word choice for a lack on my part.

You know what's so good about debates, is that if your perspective on the matter can be a little lacking, someone can show you their point of view and based on how you take it, you can change up anything you see wrong. I'm not afraid to admit I was wrong about something once in awhile. ^.^;

As far as this idea is concerned, it has a few flaws. Unless you increased the skill range or damage of chinese characters, then lowering their pot delay would make their race less effective at killing anything.

Also bots will grind on lower level mobs, mobs which will allow them to only need to use pots every 15 seconds.

Then you need to factor in that the old gold bots, the glaviers in armor that use self heal series, they don't use pots at all. So gold companies would then go back to that style of bot.

Also someone suggested limiting euro skills to 60 to make up for the chinese pot delay. If thats the case euro will dominate all pvp below lvl 65 or so. Remember not everything is about the cap.

What makes sro a good game atm is the diversity between the multiple races, and the strategies and tactics which can be used by either race against each other, or even working together. By reducing the chinese pot delay, it in effect makes the chinese race similar to that of the euro race. Why do we want 2 of the same race? That only ruins the diversity of the game.

There is a limit to the number of accounts you can make per ip, it being 5. So you could make only 5 accounts, unless you change your ip.

But i do agree with what you said. There shouldn't be a messaging system, just have a gm in each town. Any noticeable bots, boom ban them. Sure baby sitting bots could just make sure they don't have their bot activated in town and just run to their training spot themselves, but this would be effective against all gold bots and any afk player bots.

But i have no doubt that this wont be implemented.
