1 handed sword: PvP focused use Warlock hexes to make up for your lower damage. PvE focused use Wizard to knockback and freeze enemies hitting your cleric, on top of your shield trash.

2 handed sword: PvP focused use rogue for stealth. PvE focused use Cleric to make up for your, relatively, lower defence.

Dual Axe: PvP focused get 2 handed sword for knockdown, before using the axe attack. PvE focused use Bard for running speed, so you can apporach mobs faster and kill faster.

I'd have to say if you are going to pvp by yourself, the value of cleric skills can't really be matched.
