One billion silk can't buy you equipment =\ Silk can get you to the high levels faster, but what's the point of being 80 if you have shitty equipment. Besides, having full sun makes leveling faster too =)
Wait I change my answer, gold because on cSRO you can sell silk items for gold in stalls, so I would get gold because that can get me pimp stuff and silk items

i consider the choice in making things easier
gold is very easy to get in this game
you can gain an easy 10m a day EASY especially on older servers.
with silk you can log in whenever you want to play
the more people that actually realize this the less you will need silk to at least being able to log in the game.
its amazing how the community is blinded by greed at least that is the only thing i can imagine would be the reason to buy gold instead of stall for your gold.

I'd say silk of course:
- instant login
- +25% dmg
- +25% dmg resist
- +5% attack rating
- +5% parry
- +3int
- +3 str
- angel wings bonuses (i dont remember them)
- +200% sp
- +100% xp
- premium quest (+7500sp/28 days)
- monkey (even faster grind)
- ability to wear both gender equip
- alchemy to +whatever for ever and ever
- +5% alchemy succes
- free 100% skill relocation
- free 100% ress scrolls
- free reverse return scrolls
- free potions
- free arrows (more inventory space)
- free repairs whenever, wherever you want
- free mount
- free caravan
- global chat
And you still say gold? heh...i can make 100M with 1 level character in 1 month playing 1 hour a day...not killing a single mob. Come on people...silk ftw!
