Leave Silkroad to play 2Moons?

I was an assistant GM for 9Dragons during closed beta and pre-open beta. Acclaim is a good company, although they are the same as Joymax in some aspects.

I still wouldn't play 2Moons though. It's something about the way it looks that just isn't appealing to me. it's very similar to the company's other games, but with a few slight differences. Good luck to those who leave Silkroad for it though, don't abandon us on SRF. :love:

2 much ppl are waiting 2moons....lol server's will be more crowded than sro server's.....and i think its not a good game...i see some vids...SRO is better mmorpg for me ...thats all if i quit sro i wont try other mmorpg's..

To me the comparison between SRO and 2Moons is as simple as that:

2Moons suck due to not having job wars and the fact that someone playing more than you will have the right to pk you anytime anywhere except towns (i'm not sure to be honest so correct me if i'm wrong but i think that will be the way..might have some restrictions/rules though..like level limits)

The only positive thing that 2Moons have is castle wars...which could simply suck after a little while cause guilds would just keep recruiting high levels and active players (duh!) resulting in over powered guilds which will take the castle and keep it and screw up the whole thing..again i dont know about the guilds over there maybe it have a limit just like SRO...

So in conclusion if SRO gets more space and less bots...it will own.

So i'll not be too eager for it to come out but i might try it if i have the chance...but from the videos..its just pretty much the same game play-view as SRO..maybe it will be a little bit unique....who knows..

Well they use IE to initialize the game...otherwise if you use firefox...you can just use the shortcut to the actual program itself and skip the extra step/s required or asked of IE users...

i think this is the wrong forum to find any 2Moons supporters since o well its silkroad forum. But, to be fair both games are great but there are some differences:

1. Acclaim is willing to listen to the community. On the other hand Joymax developers or GM are too far from the community and hardly have any communication with players.

2. 2Moons will not be at least for now unbalance with it comes to item mall, you will have the option of having advertasing for 10% extra exp. On the other hand on Silkroad you need to buy Premium ticket + monkey/rabbit/wt/ thats like $25 dollars per month.

3. 2Moons will be more directed towards American audience. Like adjusting quest and exp. points rates to fit with American style.

4. Both games have different graphics of course each game has its unique style, do not expect 2Moons to be or behave almost the same as silkroad.

5. PvP, well when it comes to pvp in both games you need good gear and skills in order to win.

6.PVE- 2Moons and Silk are different here too, in PVE you can go kill alone at lower levels but higher levels you need friends. I know Europe is coming to silk but the mind set people have in silk will be hard to get always in a good party.

7. In 2Moons we might not have jobs like thieving or hunting. But we do have fishing, sieges, and some GM events that i think will be many =)

8. As for bots there will be always be bots no matter what, but as the Acclaim CEO said something like

- We hire great Game Masters to monitor the chat and respond to player's complaints
But we all know that this is not a real solution for those who want to cheat or disrupt fun play. Anyone who takes the time to hack or cheat will find a way. It is a cat and mouse game. Better yet, if you are the kind of person who wants to cheat or scam other players for fun, you should understand that you are hurting the very thing you are desiring: Having fun. So here is a challenge for you: Help us make our games safer by telling us how you can break it or telling your friends to stop hacking or cheating. After this long post, i think both games have great potential. No game is better than other; what makes a good game is the community and the administration around it =)

The server traffic may be a moot point if it stays the way it is ("populated" at peak hours.)

Back on topic:

I may check out 2Moons to see if it's any good. I played 9Dragons for a little while, but I wasn't really impressed with it. Thus, I'm a bit skeptical about 2Moons.

Back off topic:

It's all about their leveling scale. Sure, getting to 80 might be easy, but I bet you 100-150 will be ridiculous.

I'll give it a try but I really dont like the graphic style, or the fact that you can PK without so much as a slap on the wrist, even if it is good, I doubt I would be playing it too much I have too much to lose on Silkroad, plus Silkroad is possibly the best online RPG I ever played, just run by a barely competent company.

WARNING: Do not touch 2moons. I played the dekaron beta and it felt like an alpha version, acclaim makes HORRIBLE MMO's. I've never said this before but I'll take joymax any day over acclaim. Dekaron feels like the first RYL, graphics are ugly as hell, controls, skills and city and sluggish and confusing. It's another botched MMO just liked 9dragons that tries and bring the free-mmo silkroad crowd to them
