Why are Hybrid bladers really bad?

hybrid blader SUX.....believe me.
my 1st char was hybrid blader(Lv57...i quit it )..blader is good coz u never die because u have high hp and more def coz u use shield...if ur hp goes down u'll sux...no matter if ur imbue dmgs is higher..all ppl will kill u in pvp...and pure str blader make highest dmg than hybrid-_-'

Makes no sense to go hybrid...especially with a blader. They already do crap dmg...I once watched a blader same lvl as me fighting mobs. Highest dmg he got was 900-1k. Meanwhile I was getting 4.8k nukes. But I bet that guy had tons more hp than me. And thats a bladers strong point..super high def and hp. The dmg the imbue adds won't matter because you just took the bladers strong point away.

KeyJ you cant tell if a build is any good when it is so low level.

Every build has its strengths and weaknesses. A bladder has the most tanking ability and least damage. Why not add a little int to increase the damage and lower the tanking. It would make it more balanced right?

The crit thing is debated everywhere, no one knows what the difference in crit is between a str and a hybrid. What I do know is my int hybrid bow crits hard.

I would think a 1:1 bladder would be a bad idea unless you used a sword with 100% crit stat. Otherwise you will be stuck between a blade and a sword and you wont be able to benefit from the fact that one reinforces your strength and the other our int.

Also I think that thinking of hybrids as 1:2 or 2:1 is a bad idea, sure it is easy to keep track of where you put the points, but it limits you. You have 240 stat points to distribute, that leaves a lot of different combinations that can be choosen.

I know 2 bladders who have up to 20 points in int and they do just fine. One is lvl 74, the other 52. I can't say weather it helps them, but it definitely doesn't hurt them.

And shouldn't this belong in the character section?

I could tank a Pure str ice blader , he was same lvl as me, and fully farmed (which im not), and im pure int spear/sword+shield.
If he attacked me, i could stand there, with full hp.

Please give me details on your build/level, shield stats, and protector. You should be able to take plenty of hits.

im sorry, but i have to disagree so far. my char is hybrid str blader and the only thing that can kill me in pvp is someone 10+ lvl's ahead of me. NEVER have i died to someone my lvl. and yes, i do kill them, not just fight them til one of us run out of pots, they die really quickly

Alright the reason hybrid bladers can be good: they sacrifice their tanking ability and a tad bit of crit dmg for a bit of overall damage. You would be sacrificing your position as the ultimate tank, but hey, glaives are pretty good at tanking too, and as a hybrid blade, you would be similar to a glaive: sacrificing defense for damage (though not exactly like a glaive. It's a loose comparison). However, glaive gets hp bonus and you, instead, get block with your shield. So yeah, hybrid isn't the best, but it works for what it's meant to do. They are both good builds: pick whichever one suits you better. The guy who can tank anything but can't kill too well, or the guy who can tank quite a bit and deal out a bit more damage than its counterpart.

Never assume build what could easily be written off to gear. I 1 hit a glaiver that was a lvl or two below me earlier today. Of course when I had the loan of the sun blade I was doing that to higher lvls. My gear is not pimped much but it was good enough that his 14kish health was gone in a flash. And never touched my zerk. And I am as pure str as they come. When I get stab happy even my own lvl thinks twice of taking me to lightly. Maybe I can't kill them all but I usually get closer than they do. :twisted:

Btw it is possible to make 100% phy 60% mag balance. i tried it out its really good, Strong attack but can tank still. It only works if u hav good gear that is.

From what Ive done any str hybrid is no good because you lose that extra attack power, and hp. You dont reallly get stronger going hybrid you get weaker. The power of str builds come from that str.

hybrid int = less attack more life so its actually good, you survive more and have good attack.
hybrid str = less hp, less attack power =/
70:70 hybrid = dont unless you are filthy rich without good gears you will die very fast and cant kill as fast.

From that said, hybrid str bladers are not good at the moment. They dont have enough power to kill, and die faster than usual making the tanker to not tank. Fight any int build at 80 and you will see.

Ive done many builds and all now all I have to say is if you feel your char is weak, dont worry maybe joymax will change something to make your build better than others later. Stick to what you feel you like.

All builds also relly on gear rite? Bad gear means u prolly get owned. Good gear means u prolly will own.

yep its like saying a pure str glaive vs a pure str glaive with all sosun and full blues... hmm Im wondering who will win =)

and not only that even bad builds with low skills with good gears can own.

Well not everyone can get those, so dont worry just think of it this way: You will always have someone who can defeat you. Even sosun will die out once cap rises just like before.

What I suggest is to be filthy stinkin rich.

We wont have 9th degree sosun for a while then sosun will pop back up again and here we go again.

Pure str glaive fire and when attacked use a shield with high br- the most used build but hey its a all around good build

Just go pure str blade and put INT and STR on your gears. Change Crit to HIGH!! Whenever you fight just hope many sos' drop XD

Any other build with a blade would just make it weaker.
