Almost all of my close friends bots, but I didn't give up the friendship cause they bot.But I did get sad and mad at them when I found out abt it. I don't bot myself and never will, as you said, I'd rather quit playing this game than start to bot.

Meh, although to be honest this botting issue really sucks. If Joymax dont put a STOP to this... most of the legit players will eventually bot, since once they reach high lvls... they wont have the necessary gold to buy good gears cus the economy is really ..... up due to goldbuying/goldbotting.

exactly all my best and rich friends bot too. the people in my guild that dont bot are the kids that still live in mommys house getting served with food and dont have to work and can play 23/7

I know many people that I handgrinded along with when I was low level that hated botters with a passion, always murdering them and insulting them in teamspeak. Then the next thing I know... I woke up one day, one person got sick of grinding and resort to using bot. Then everyone else tried out the bot and become hook to it, and they never handgrinded again. We, players, can't do anything against that. If Joymax doesn't care, you just have to accept it.
I'm staying in this game to be with my friends. And when we meet a full SoSun guy in opposite job we just go 3 vs 1 and kill him.

The bot subject brings hate, and flaming. That's why it's forbidden here. And I guess this thread will be locked soon, especially with the nice identity picture of LeBre.

If you can't follow the rules of a game, don't play it. If SRO has a stupid grinding system, go play something else...
The only stupid people are the people who bot. They invest money and still some time in a game of which they dislike the gameplay... EUM hello???? Any logic here? Anyone? You? There in the back? No? ...

In the end you might be strong but what did you accomplish? Nada
* you can't say your character is good cause an automated program made your character
* you can't say your rich by good investements cause your base money was generated by the use of an automated program

Here is a list of the most hilarious arguments everyone botter tends to make:

I bot cause i have a life:
This one always makes me laugh a lot. 90% of the botters would wish they have a life and a RL GF. The fact you spend money 'illegaly' in a game just to be l33t and strongest etc just says that you need the game or the strong character to have a surrogate for your real life. Owning a legit level 30 trade while you got beaten in lunch hour for your school money must be very sattisfying.

Secondly, if you value RL that much how come you want to be soooo top of the bill then in an online game? If you would like RL or have some goals in it you would not be so driven to be the best in a pixel-based game.

I bot cause everyone bots:
Nice thinking, just go along with the herd, good attitude, all your goals in life will be achieved like this

I bot cause JM doesn't do anything about bots:
Good idea, excellent, give them more work, this will solve the problem faster!

The only real argument for botting that is understandable:
I want to be able to own everything and everyone without having to abandon my real life friends (whom i talk to on MSN) and my real life GF (who has a dead pixel).

I think that botters dont see the point of this game. See your char growing in the way you wanted is (i think) the best of a RPGMMO.

For a lot of people its all about beeing the strongest. Its pethetic.

Then again there are many, I dare say 'decent' people, that actually just plain up admit to botting, rather than beating around the bush. Nothing annoys me more than a blatant botter saying he doesnt bot, the convo usually goes like this:
Me: Next time you bot, bot in a different area please
Bot(few hours later): I no bot
Me: Why did it take so long to reply
Bot: I was lagging
Me: Why did you keep ksing me
Bot: I was lagging
Me: Just please, dont bot here, I'm trying to grind.

Keep fighting, as long as those left in your guild stay legit, there is no reason to be disheartend, after all, your ex-members that started botting are the ones that lose out in the long run.

We speak portuguese, our guild is so far the only legit brazilian guild left on Greece as far as I know (and the rivalry agains the Brasil guild botters was one source of fun, but then some of us are going there now).

We chatted once ingame, I'm Ranchi. Your guild was the first to come up because I knew you were recruiting, and you and your union are the only botless guild/union I know of for sure.

About the question, it wasn't to say "oh, my friends aren't guilty because they bot just to be able to keep up with bots". I find them guilty as well. As I said, I have the great ability of being able to enjoy the game doing about anything, even grinding (because I "spice up" the grind). It was to think "How would it be if those that turned to the dark side to keep up with bots stayed legit?". I'm sure the number of people that bot to "keep up" is very, very large.

We'll stay strong, but we're still saddened nonetheless. My Master didn't want to show it, but I'd bet he's very hurt, we've been playing since Troy opened and moved to Greece after our Master's character got hacked on Troy (most of us wanted to start anew anyway).

Olá, é verdade, a maioria dos brasileiros/portugueses faz bot :/. Para ser sincero não conheço nenhum br no server greece que não faça bot e isso deixa-me chateado. Mas o que eu te queria dizer não era isto, era para não te desanimares e continuares a jogar, se quiser podes vir para a minha guild/união, a União de nemesis e TODA legita, NINGUEM faz bot, e nós somos uma união muito forte tb

What is worse and more disturbing is being harrassed by botters to start botting ... being told over and over again that you are stupid for playing legit. Or seeing botters harrassing the few high level legits that are around to try and convince them to become bots.

And maybe if the botters just stopped at leveling their own char to 80 ... maybe that would be tolerable, but they don't stop there. There are people at yetis using 64+ characters to gold bot that already have level 80 (or nearly level 80) characters. Just very sad is all I can say. The botters have so much of a "real life" that just one botted character isn't enough ... they need more and more ... to be the best ...

But even with all of that HakubiNi, please stay determined. Good luck with Pure Entity or whichever guild you choose. There are other legit players out there.

First of all. If you need to bot to sell gold to get money you're a looser. Get a real job. It will pay much better than what you do unless you're even a bigger looser you look like and you dropped out of school in 3rd grade and the only job you can do is pick up trash.

Second... being a high level legit is nothing hard. I have a job, study at university (chemical engineering) and I'm working on my own project with 2 of my friends and still have a lvl75+ char with playing 1,5 hout per day or even less. Also never spend 1$ on this game.
I quit not long ago.

So if you need to bot to be high lvl you're a looser.

Third and last... just by the way you write and express yourself we can all see you're just some kiddie living with your mom. So don't act a tough guy and learn how to express yourself properly.
Maybe that will also help you to get a job and you won't need to bot to get by with money.
