Oh yeah, in Runescape people said rawr rather than grrr. But people also said grrr alot.

Nothing wrong with saying grr or rawr...just a sign of agitation/a war cry.

Z stands for Zee in ZOMG so it would be Zee oh my gawd.

I remember before i use to say lolz which i think no one has really mentioned yet and someone asked me before what the z meant. For that its basically just a plural of lol only the s is a z.

wiki says teh "Z" in leet speak means a degree higher than the actual/usual spelling. i think it came from teh likes of "pwnzord" as opppsed to the normal "pwnd". so, "zomg" is like a "omg" +1. it may even trace it's roots to the "power rangers" series before, with all the "zords" and all. (i know, scary).

FTW can be attributed to the game "hollywood squares" the one with whoopie always in teh middle and everyone had to say something smart ass before answering teh questions. anyways, when a player has two blocks lined up, teh GM will say"ok, for the win, what is the....." or the contestant may say "i choose alf, for the win" for his next question.

leet speak is really interesting, if you go deeper, you'd be surprised at how online gaming has developed a vast sub culture.

oh, btw, can someone please tell me what "your mom" means? i've seen it alotta times. i accidentally used it when i was flaming a KSer on teh ice. told him to say his insult again wearing a job suit. we stared flaming each other, our builds, our guilds, everything! he started cursing me. then he came to a point where he said for me to suck his b*lls. i was kinda pissed off at that time and just typed "your mom".

he then said "good comeback, sorry mate." then i just lol'ed at everything coz it happened so fast.

i also wonder how "..or else im gonna park my hummer in your garage" can have teh same effect on people OL.

It's like some kid was doing a leet speak contest and was looking for an uber 'omg'
Another guy on that contest was sleeping hence the balloon with ZZZZ on top of his head. When the first kid was saying 'omg', due to the point of view, the zzzz from the first person was in front of the kids text balloon. Everyone in the crowd was astounded... ZZZZZZZZOMG was born. To save the lifespan of the z-key this was shortened to 'zomg'.
