Take out the damage dealers, then cleric then the str based chars. It's so easy...I've seen it happen on Mars already. :o

-edit- Well we weren't lvl 80 but you get the point. :D

wrong noob, you hit the wizards/warlocks then the other 4 or so clerics will kick your ass with that 990% dmg increase skills or sth ... they sacrafice 1 and kill you all, kill clerics, no sacrafices, no healing, bad autpot = chinese wins lol

i was theifing with myself (rogue) another rogue and 2 mages back when i was 4X

we ran into a group of chinese traders going through DR 3 camels and 3 hunters. The wizards cast that frost AoE attcks and we (rogues) pwnd the sh* t out of them. the one who attacks first gets the advantage. what if you were the trader and a bunch of glaivers came up to you? one ghost spear = 1 dead wizard instantly.

chinese and euro have counters to each other, it's about who gets the first hit now.

The one thing I believe people are failing to notice is that Wizard's will be an even bigger deciding factor for a Euro party at 76+. They get an AoE de-buff that slows manna regeneration and inflicts 4 second pot delay for 30 seconds (I believe someone pls correct me if I'm wrong.) GG Chinese group.

EDIT:

punch wrote:the one who attacks first gets the advantage.

Yes but it doesn't mean victory in group play.

punch wrote:what if you were the trader and a bunch of glaivers came up to you? one ghost spear = 1 dead wizard instantly.

Most definitely the case in solo PvP, no argument there. Group PvP is another matter. Euros have the advantage at current cap with infliction of pot delay, and the host of buffs solely available as a euro.

If the group is adequate and smart they can easily keep 40-60%damage reduction on their wizards with warrior buffs alone and even then split the remaining damage evenly across the party with pain quota. That should be considered standard procedure for group play anyway, and I haven't even factored in Bless/Body Blessings, Earth Barrier, Tambours...so on. In tight situations a competent and adequate group can shield and sustain app. 85-95% of all damage inflicted on their Wizards as well as raising their defenses x3/x4 for 1.5- 4 minutes depending on party structure/classes.

I don't speak ignorantly on that subject as Ive experienced my fair share of high level jobbing with strictly Euro parties. Our Rogues, Locks, and even some Warriors were generally easier to take down than our Wizards because we focused buff attention to them first. I've forcibly tanked a few STR glaive characters, STR bow characters 4+ levels over me and lived without even a moment of "oh shit!." It's all about your party, your communication, and practice.

Here's the funny thing though, since when do euro parties job around alone, and can't chinese chars use euro buffers as well? Who cares what a group of euros can do to a group of chinese or visa versa. When the game was defined to be a team effort, they didn't put chinese on one side and euros on the other. They can complement each other easily. A chinese char with some euro buffs is a sick tank. A single cleric can turn a whole party of chinese into sick tanks... Hand out some str and int, and their damage goes through the roof too, not to mention yield more defense and hp.

t-_-

not entirely.
there is speculation, that we are getting 90 cap late 07, or early 08
and ksro is getting islam mid - late 08.
and isro got europe, almost (7? months) after ksro.
using that as back up, (and looking at past updates) i came 2 the conclusion that joymax has a new update pattern, of about 2 major (I SAID MAJOR) updates per year, so the only plausible update for 09 is islam

but there is still missing info like what do we get mid - late 08, if we might get islam mid - late 09.

so my theory is:
Roc Mountain
90 cap
islam

^ future major updates.
there are more areas 2 come.

if only i had that damn source code.

odviously your from the official forums, which is full of flamers trolls and general jerks.

maybe you need 2 read srfs rules:

this about sums it up for euro play, a good party, each knowing their job will have a very high sucess rate :)

Can't we all just get along and party together? lvl 80 who gets a cleric 72+ to use hp bonus buff then gets around 33k hp, do that times 5 or w/e and you got some beastly tankers. Party with chinese/euro's FTW!

We can't coexist....Euro hate Chinese cause they don't have pot delay so they have to prove they don't need pots to win battles. Chinese don't like Euros cause they do massive damage so Chinese have to prove they can tank it with pots and still pwn.

The epic battle will rage on until Euros have pot delay removed and Chinese get better damage. I move for petition

Yes, if there are standing 2 guys and beating shit out of each other without thinking then even tho euro does more damage, hes gonna lose to chinese who's pot spamming. But when you start to use strategy its getting different.
For example rogue's stealth hit run tactic which iss not like tactic, but anyway, or wizards who are not just spamming nukes, but actually using others even more important skills at their tree. Not to meantion warriors who have skills to keep you opponent away from hitting you. With a little bit of thinking/strategy euros are tough force to chinese

I say this, who cares just have fun

a chinese team can have support roles and tanks and nukers and kd, and basicly everything except the mad euro buffs and taunt, but i've partied with chinese who did fine at tanking, and back before they even had euro i liked to party grind as it was, as crazy as that sounds, not as good as the euro though, but you know it still worked out
(its harder for me to not try to be a team player, as long as the team can keep up to my lead, or some else leading it half way smart)

euro, my wizzard has done more impressive things then my chinese nuker ever could, my chinse nuker died with good sox garments, fighting things 5 lvls higher almost gaurunteed to get critted with in 10 kills. On the other hand my wizzard can just fricken 1 hit the thing 5 lvls higher with life controll and fire, and with a sub bard, i get to pick and choose my fights for the most part because of noise, i solo better with my euro then i did my chinese (maybe i was just unlucky for getting critted),

today i was in an amazing convoy as a hunter, when the traders didnt' panic and split up and the warrior that was giving me my defense buffs didn't go to far to save the traders that couldnt' controll themselves, i was basicly a tank, that could kill 4 theives in one nuke, the pain quota and the fence, and then some cleric buffs, i was basicly playing i would my tank,

how ever there was times when they got stupid and i died because they decided to go to far from the other trader in the convoy, can't very well protect in 2 places at once

its just the team you have with you, but as they promised euro does own in partys, chinese are pretty good in parties too, but too many rely on the auto pot to save them they don't think they need support

Whats happening now In guild Wars/ Job wars the Clerics are untouchable, unless you want to pk them.

Most smart guilds have thier Clerics "outside" the guild during wars, healing and buffing them. Thus they are not able to be killed by the oppsoing guild, as they not even in the guild doing the warring.

In jobs wars the Cleric either Just sits in safe zone buffing and healing, or he does not wear a job suit when he travels with the Jobbing party. Ressing and buffing. Only Draw back is no party buffs in this situation.

Now with unlimited res, mercs are useless, As people attack the mercs die, get resed attack mercs die res, untill all mercs are dead. With untouchable Clerics running around, job wars are just one big res fest.

lol ya that is pretty lame of them, thats as good as cheating in my book

today there was this one theif that had a buddy with him less then lvl 20, cleric, he kept ressing and buffing him, too bad i could still 1 hit the theif with my own buffs and the amazing wizzard damage
