good news if thats the case

bad news for those who only botted the first few levels and then changed their mind about how they wanted to play this game

doubtful, there would be like 10 players left in babel (me being one of them of course)

AuronTidus wrote:like i said it takes time some cases get pulled up before others some may never get pulled up to see if ppl botted. it happened in maple a guy who was like lvl 15x was banned after 4 years of playing and he boted his first year only and others get the boot 2 days of playing. and it is true they do favor silk bots they proly get banned but not till they squezee the money first

k...plenty...and PLENTY of ppl were botting back then when the cap was still 60..and those accounts are either inactive (ppl stopped botting/playing on them) or either those ppl are still there...

this "even if you have botted for x mins/hours/days = you'll get banned later on" is far from being true..

Anyway, when he tried to log on later, he was banned due to chargeback.
He contacted Joymax, and they refused to unban him or even refund the money.

They will unblock it when the bank of the credit card reinstates the payment.

You said it was the banks fault

You call them.... you talk to them

Joymax gets their money - you get unblocked.

different bot programs are written by different people. Some are hardcore coders and some are amateur programmers that experiment and want to learn, how to crack/hack something.

Every program that gets installed on your system even after uninstalling it can leave traces on your registry, on different files and different system folders, normal people dont know this stuff.

When joymax, finds a new hack, they reverse enginner it and try to find how to stop it, some are easy than others and take just a small update on their system, others are hard to find because the bot is hard to find or because its private, so this takes a really long time.

This is what happen to this guy, he might have gotten his hands on one of the private bots out there and when he uninstalled it he didnt uninstall everything, now that Joymax has caught up, they implemented their fixes and picked up traces of the hack in this persons computer and thus banning him.

In order to prevent such missfortune in the future there are 2 options and 2 paths you can take and follow.
1. DO NOT INSTALL HACKS ON YOUR PC!
2. if you install hacks on your PC, reformat your PC and erase all the data on your hard drive.

or because he was botting, just not right when the GM showed up (or perhaps its just another lie).

The propaganda that the botters try to put out is unbelieveable. It wasn't me, no I wasn't botting, it must be theose mean spiteful GMs. The only thing they can do is deny and whine.

To all the whiney botters out there, you say you bot so you can have free time. Since you've now lost your account you should have more free time than ever now.

You got busted go cry elsewhere.

I find it hard to believe that random people would be banned, or people who botted last year. This guy... we know... BLATANTLY bots in front of everyone... its so ridiculously obvious. People run past the Yacha room, makes comments about him, messes with his bot, or freezes him and runs off. One time, someone did a joke global chat and like 8 people came and were messing with him.

AND HES NOT BANNED.

The bank had already paid the money back, the guy offered to pay a 2nd time, Joymax simply said they will not accept this, and his acc will remain blocked.

Do you know anything? Joymax can't scan your registry. Whoever told you this is f'ing retarded and needs to be shot in the scrotum. On a lighter note, they catch botters in the act. To do this, they have to see you botting, then they create invisible mobs near you. If you attack them, you get the ban hammer, if not, then you are okay. So, if you got banned. You WERE botting.

weird... i know for a fact that this friend of mine doesn't bot since we almost always hunt together when we're online. just a few minutes ago we were supposed to hunt again, but he got disconnected just after exiting donwhang. then i receive an sms from him saying he can't log in, and apparently his account was banned.

i'm almost inclined to believe what CodeOfSilence said cos my friend plays in an internet cafe, and it's possible the computer he was using contained something similar to what was said... but what do i know.

it would have been courteous of joymax to at least send an email to banned players regarding an explanation or something.
