No, you're the retard. He must be a lower level, to be begging for money like that. Assuming he's 2x, by the time he gets to 4x he will need to rez his wolf more then you have. Also, must consider times wehen he train by the trade routes, etc.
If someone buy a wolf at 3x 4x its much easier, they don't train by routes as much and by that time the wolf got more hp.
If someone like me who was 6x when I got my first, by 3x I already took it to penons, then yetis, then cave, it's much harder to train there but if I train at lower level mobs it sux because I'll waste gold time and leveling/sp farming time.

I got my wolf at lvl 22 and now my wolf is lvl 35. So far he has died 2 times and i used 1 hunger pot...Is that close to 2m?
And i never use wolf during trade run and never uses pet pots to heal him because at his lvl he can withstand a bit of hits
I have an alt on Rome as well and my wolf (which i got at 21 or 22) is now lvl 31 ---> didnt die once, didnt use hunger pots at all = 1 mil
Who didnt leveled a wolf with a low level char ? you.

ZOMG I BET I CAN UMM UM i BOUGHT an SOSun +9 ROC (giant bird thingy)and SOS +9 LORD YARKAN for like um.. um..... 0$ BEAT THAT!
but seriously i dont like it when pplz ask for wolves one time a dude asked me if he can take my wolf(lke lvl 31 at the time) for free. I said sure and then made a mad dash back to DW from Jangan (chin tomb) with him following all the way. Eventually he died though.
