You know what might be more beneficial? Sucking it up. Test your patience and you'll find that you won't become as easily angered. In honest truth, if KSing in a computer game can get you worked up that much, then good luck in the real world where things actually matter and being a crybaby won't make the world any more fair.

I try not to KS, unless someone starts it(I'll win 98% of the time), or is being an ass. Or when I get a blader or glaiver that feels the need to multi aggro. When I see a group of 6-8 mobs on 1 person in a crowded area I'll 2 nuke the group and kill em all. Don't like it, stop aggroing or move. If you can't hack it where you are try manyangs.

i'm personally okay with KS-ing, coz as a nuker, it can't be helped at times. especialyl when you're sharing training spots with a blader. i say sorry at times but more often than not, i don't. it's only one mob anyway. if the other person reacts, THEN i say sorry. the only time i find KS-ing disrespectful is when someone zerks on a giant and sometries to KS them still.

but forgoddsake, all these talk about "sorry-ing" is to childish IMO. it's just a five letter word. get another training spot move on, or KS back if you can. all part of teh game to keep us from closing our eyes while grinding.

I suppose since this is my first online game outside of Diablo back in the days of stone monitors, I'm lost on the entire concept of kill-stealing. This is not a jab at the mentally challenged, not by any means, but having a feeling of power or victory at KSing someone in an online game is like winning the Special Olympics - yes you won, but you are still retarded. Could be because I'm old, senile and Alzheimer’s has kicked in and give me 5 minutes and I'll forget that you KSed me, but I don't see the big deal in it all. As mentioned before, it's a game. That's it. If someone needs to KS me to feel high and mighty, it's both humorous and sad at that same time. Funny because they have such a lacking in their lives that beating someone in an online game brings them considerable joy and self-worth and it's sad for the same reasons. It doesn't bother me to be KSed. I move along elsewhere simply because it's counter-productive to not get the full potential on points. If I'm at work and must stay in that area for whatever reason, I'll continue on where I am and what I am doing and if someone needs to fondle themselves and laugh while they KS my blader, then that's fine, too. I could care less. I'm getting paid to play the game and, albeit slowly, I'm still getting points. I may even get the kill in the end.
To KS someone is likewise counter-productive. It shows a lack of intelligence in game strategy to do this activity frequently. If you got your own kills from start to finish, then you'll reap the full benefits. Instead, those that have personal or social issues who persist in doing it must share the gains and the wasted time with those they are 'stealing' from. Again, the entire process doesn't make sense. I don't see it as a big enough deal that Joymax should remove the capability of it because there have been several times where someone has asked for help or I have asked for help, either because it's a giant and there's a need, a friendship or someone has bitten off more than they can chew. So the capability does serve a purpose. Others exclaim that if it wasn't meant to be (KSing, not assisting) then they wouldn't have made it possible in the game. Quite possibly assistance was the goal and KSing is a drawback from it and the programmers relied on gamers who could respect one another. Just a thought.
Those are just my long-winded thoughts. nothing directed at anyone specifically, just my thoughts on the matter.

The point is you get cry baby people that do a quick soul cut, lion shout or spear throw at the same mob that you are charging your power attack on, when you 1 hit kill it they cry 'ks noob'.

Often times I've only got 1 mob visable from where I am, I target it hit my nuke and while i'm running towards it someone starts an attack. I've already started the attack and I cant stop it, nor would I want to if I could. Once again you get the 'ks noob' comment. I for one am tired of it. I've been playing the game for a long time and I've learned to deal with it. It isn't going away.

As for purposeful ksing, I'm currently playing a nuker that 1 hits silver/white mobs. There is a short supply of mobs and I'll 'defend' any area that has a good spawn point to keep my exp/sp per minute at a good pace. If you can out kill me I move, if not, I hope you like standing idle.

Giants are another story, let the person have it that started it.

KS is the only way to train in the cave.

Nachals is packed with bitches, mostly nukers who KS freely and 1-shot everything. Most of these people KS you for 20 minutes, then you kill ONE THING and they cry "dont ks".

God damn.

The high spawn room supports 6ish people, yet theres 8-9 in there. All of them KSing, fighting, and arguing.

I've seen two job wars break out in the Nachal room; one of them I was in (Being attacked by players, mobs, and zombie status - YAY)

Every man for himself. Get every drop of XP and SP you can. Theres nothing else you can do except go home.

Even last hitting a mob gets you SOME xp, compared to none.

I spend 20 minutes walking up and down 4 floors of both caves to find a spot, just so someones bot can come back to it and start KSing me.

Watcha gonna do.

so true Ryoko. As a blader I use petal sword dance to aggro mobs, and to keep them off my wolf. Of course, with this skill you can hit other peoples mobs sometimes for roughly 1k dmg, its so funny to me to see nukers cry about it when they have repeatedly hit my monsters for 5k dmg with the splash dmg off their lightning nuke and I've said nothing. But then again, thats how this game goes.

tbh im trying to log in, to fill my inventory and monkey up with pots, then go to a small warrior room and ks the first person who aint a bot/union till I get the spot:) nukers ftw, I would prefer to not ks, but its the only way, otherwise ill never finish my farming. Sad but true. But sometimes you gotta be selfish.

i did actually lol on that "Make their time on SRO a living hell"?.... dude its a game Anyway, other games have a system where you can't kill-steal. Where basically once someone is atking it, you cant kill it. But that's so much worse when the archers and mages own all at PvE, and they have to make archery much less appealing pvp and money-wise. Trust me, if kill-stealing was a crime, JM would have made the game different. Personally, unless they constantly ks you and go out of their way to ks you, i would live with it. It's part of the game, and it wont go away any time soon.

I will admit...ksing can get annoying. I do my best not to ks anyone, although, it can be hard as a nuker...

Blame it on my days in Everquest, but I respect a player that has set up a spawn camp. I never experienced much KSing in Everquest, however, in Knight Online and now SRO, ksing is just a part of the game. Now, I understand, EQ has a lot more static spawn camps, and it is certainly more group/party focused than SRO, but there is a lvl of respect that exists in EQ that is not remotely present in SRO...even folks that were real jerks would usually respect camp/pull rights.

Now, I understand the desire to ks on a giant...I have even been known to do it on occassion if there are 3-5 people already attacking, just to see if I can out damage them all, but I still hold to the belief that if you come up on a guy killing away at a giant, harmony ring up, etc...it is just a courtesy to let him finish off the kill solo, especially if the giant is Blue to you...you will ruin his exp and, usually, the drops for everyone.

Anyway...that is just my 2cp.

Oh, and unless you can Lion-shout flowers, or are ready to murder me...don't try to take my spot...I will fight you for it, and call in reinforcements if necessary. :wink:

we dont have to ks to get room wair for ur turn.. ppl will finish their pots and leave..

i think ppl(bots) that come to ur spot (where uve been for the last hour and spended 1 hour more just to get it) and set their bots there.. well i think they should die...

ppl like silk_killer,darkcharmer, all nike guild,all fusionx guild,all chinatown guild, NoRiskNoFun guild, larloch well i think they should ALL get death penalty

I love ks'rs,,,,,,,,there hilarious,,,,,,they were not so funny when i was 1-29, but after i got my nukes,,jezzz,,,,,,,i see them coming near my camp,,,i beat on it with a sword let them get the there hits in,,,,,,,,,and fry the thing, ,,,,,,then follow them around for bout 20 kills till they log,,,,,,,its so much fun,,,,,,,,,and also,,,,,,,if the mob is in my camp area regardless i will take the kill regarless if there beating on it before me,,, thats not ks, its my right to mark my territory,,,,,,the game has enough mobs to camp for all, well atleast till later ,lol

i think its a matter of respect and common courtesy. like in real life, if theres a long line of cars going in and out of a mall or something, are you nice about it and let someone go first instead of just plowing ahead so someone else has to stop for you? guess it depends eh. i personally try to never intentionally ks anyone (unless ppl are just being jerks about it first) because i really dont like other ppl ksing me. sure it gets annoying in a packed nachal room when u spend like 2+ min btw mobs running around trying to get first hit, and i rush in a frenzy to any giant to try to get first hit on it. but if i dont, its not a huge deal and i move on. if a room's full, sure its annoying to try to go around looking for one thats not but i dont think thats justification to impose your will on everyone else. but also thats just me. i can understand why ppl ks and thats their choice/opinion on what they think they should do. i think its wrong to ks but not everyone does and i cant say whats universally right cuz im not god or anything =) so i dont get that mad about it and i find that often just being patient about it like staying in that spot when someone else tries to ks you out of it works cuz they eventually give up.

mm thats kind of a ramble but oh well o.o thats my 2cents or watever =)

on a side note, its getting ridiculous in caves now during the event.. usually most ppl _are_ respectful and dont go around intentionally ksing but now everyone seems to have given up cuz theres just too many ppl and its a crazy free for all -_- i kinda want the event to end lol... sure more xp per kill but less kills ;o
