Probably will explain why all the Servers are full

P.s That quote was taken on September 28, 2006 thus the 11 servers... Silkroad has 2,344,411 registered users as of 27/10/06 06:53pm -7GMT

lmao been getting on first try everytime haha i feel so lucky...but in saying that i was always on first or second try during event no matter what time appart from the once i spent 10mins trying

yep same here...i always get on in my first or second apptempt.
Also, i knew that WoW had 7 million users. But SRO having 2
million....wow thats a lot of bots ( jk, jk )

hi every one. The cannot connect due to server traffic issue... i think joymax doesnt have any excuse for that (correction, they have many). excuse 1: the game is free... yep, if u dont want to get to the lvl cap (without scrolls u need lot of time (u nedd only half with a scroll), if u dont do pvp (imagine yourself starting to pvp without selfres scroll... die, back to town, die, back to town, etc). u can play without silk, but u can play 100% more efficiently with silk. Excuse 2: we have more than 2 million users (and also a great amount of botts and botters)... well they already now the number of users, and they know that most of those users (including botts and botters) will try to log eventually, so when they gonna do something about it... excuse 3: new servers... well what are the new server good for if the first 2000+ characters are from old user (and we get in the old servers 2000+ new characters from new users), i mean is so hard to restrict the old server to the new users.
There many soultions that they can apply to solve this problems (cannot conect, botters, etc, etc) the thing is when we will see a real soultion. They can upgrade their hardware, put a better subscription system, block the new users from creating characters in the old server, start to ban the botters as well as the botts, etc.
About the last event for me it wasnt a compensation event, it was a cannot connect, lag event and the patch... well now we can use wide screen (or so they say) but that doesnt solve the graphic engine crashing, thief spawn attacking anyone around etc.
i think this is a great game, and when i can log i enjoy it a lot, but it has a lot of room for improvent it and i hope they start to do real improvements and not only mistakes and compensations
ps.: at least they can change the name of the game, that would be the easiest soultion i can imagine. i have a few sugestions: compensation road, silkbotting street, cannot connect blockedroad, etc

lol i know but thats sro for ya haha slow and at times boring unless you have motivation ie friends and goals iv out leveled people using scrolls before i got another one

and lets hold our hopes up there is a lot of stuff they are yet to bring out for us so many there wil be some drastic changes we dont know do we?

Yeah, I just tried logging in for about 45 minutes (14 times). Got pwned by d/c. But... you know what might help? If we all pitched in a granted Joymax a huge donation to upgrade the servers!

How's that sound? And , I love the game too much to just leave over 14 (grrr OMFG...) disconnects in 45 minutes.

Is there a major server traffic problem with Babel at the moment or is it just me?

I can log in without too much of a problem but, I'm getting lag of 20-30 secs constantly. After 5-10 mins it just gets so bad that I get disconnected.

I haven't tried any trace routes yet or anything as I was wondering if it was just a huge amount of traffic because of the patch and people thinking the event had started.

So, anyone else having a problem with Babel, or any other server?

Typical American way of thinking here again. What you thinking now that there are only American people playing? Jezus.

At 11.40 PACIFIC TIME in EUROPE that means it's like 19.40 in the evening means SERVERS ARE FULL OF EUROPEANS.

You know when the servers are at the lowest point? Well that is at midnight Greenwich Mean TIME, now you translate that to your USA PACIFIC time, at least if you have got the brains for it :roll:

also crash when u teleport through portal / cave.

and when u party match and teleport same time...it bugs ur party thing and u wont be able to join through the party screen.

just to add this in, if you read the agreement statement when you make an account, it clearly says that you are agreeing that lag is not Joymax's fault, and you are agreeing that it is not their fault when u are disconnected, die of lag, etc.etc.

The main thing is..The one that make the server traffic are the botters.. :banghead:

can see the botters line up at stable like 20+..so many...If using bot for 3 or 4 hours a day ...i can relax..but they are bots that are non stop for 3 to 4 days....Thats why the server always jammed or traffic....if little amount its ok..but now the bot are to many and for players like us,its hard to lvling anymore, because the amount of bot ks..er..huhuhu
