But as you've already seen, 99% of the people here on the forums are highly anti-religious. Debating religion over the internet is futile. The second you mention Jesus, they get all defensive and start spewing forth their rebuttals to your faith. *Which these days seems to be in the form of posting Youtube videos*. As if they actually think that a video is going to have some life-altering message that will change what you belief in 5 minutes time.

So yeah, I like what you're trying to do. But it won't change anything. Nice to know there's another another believer on here though. I think that brings our total of believers up to like, 5 people? Whoo! ; )

Oh and I love you people who are all like, "It's not an addiction! I moderate how much I game! I have a life! blah blah blah". Okay, if that's really true, then that would mean you've never played SRO or any other MMORPG when you could have hung out with your real friends, girlfriend, or family. Ever.

That would be true if the criterion for time management is based on your own personal standard to what is or isn't wasted time, but it isn't, so I'm inclined to ask you to take your own advice on the dangers of self-righteousness. How different individuals define their own priorities and time is the standard to that person's own criterion by which they determine wasted time or time spent wisely. To say that someone who didn't pick physical social interaction over virtual interaction is wasting their time is a little disingenuous. Not to mention, measuring someone's time management or non-addictive nature based on how much they socialize seems like a non-sequitur.

To your other point, I'm pretty sure the forum is not that anti-religious at all from my experience. In fact, it may be just the opposite but the wide majority are not very vocal at all, or may simply be apathetic. The negative commentary is mostly due to the fact that the OP decided to proselytize right after essentially telling everyone to get off their lazy ass and praise Jesus for salvation because they're all dirty sinners (I'm paraphrasing here). I have to agree on your last point though: 5-minute YouTube videos can't change entire lifetimes of religious indoctrination.

I'm triing to fix my lost time, triing to do the things what I missed :
-Making friendship You can make friends in an MMORPG
-Learning languages(very important ! ) important, depending on what you want to do with your life. You don't HAVE to be multi-lingual.
-Learning things what I like (for me its programming for example) What if you like video games? Play an MMORPG to learn more about video games. Like leading teams of people? Play an MMORPG and be a guild/union leader. Lead a team with zero _real_ resources
-Doing things what I like to do(here I mean contructive things, hobbies, not time wasters) There should be room in your life for leisure, even if it can be considered 'time wasters'
But it is sooo much hard, and full of suffering. You learn like 8 hours a day + help to your family + eat + travel, and you still wanna do the things what I listed above. Sometimes I wish that a day would be 25-26 hours long.

There's nothing wrong with playing an MMORPG, an FPS, other video game, playing with radio control cars in a parking lot, hiking through the woods, or any other leisure activity, as long as you do it in moderation. Take care of the things in life that matter most first, but also take some time to relax and enjoy some "me time" too.

Even in this situation, I thank God that I've put my faith in Jesus, and realised my self-destructing life. I cannot even imagine how terible would have my life become, if I realise this to late.

It's great that you found God and all. I can respect that. However, you don't need God to tell you if you are neglecting your work or life in order to spend way too much time on an MMORPG.

Most of you play with this game, because you have nothing to life for. The same was with me. You know, God created us to be in a relationship with him, and you cannot dodge this. Lot's of rich,famous and successful people realised that nothing can fill this gap in their life. You can level up, over and over, and kill more and more uniques. But when you reached your goal, you will feel like "okay, now what?", like I did.

I think most people play this game because they have some free time in between school, work, activities with friends, soccer practice... Not everyone lets the game control their lives. You can play baseball all you want, hitting the ball, running around the bases, scoring more and more runs. But when you reach your goal, you will feel like "okay, now what?"... well no, you should feel like "that was fun. now let's do it again or do something else." It's the journey that matters, not the end result.

You think real life is good? Why it is good? Because it is filled with good and wonderful people. You know what? MMORPGS are exactly filled with the same good and wonderful people. But here, because they are behind anonimity, they can be more good than they would be in real life, making MMORPGs BETTER than real life...

Life is filled with good and bad people. Plenty of people are perfectly capable of playing a game like this without becoming evil or letting the game take control of their lives.

I had found this to be so naively amusing that I had consequentially tumbled onto the floor, at which time I proceeded to roll around a bit whilst splitting one's sides. Following such event I had been whipped with much joy that my eyes had been rendered shut with smiles in a toothy grin. It had became clear that the cross bringing of religion with the playing of virtual games was quite a comedy. kori0129. i like your intentions, but. your methods of spreading the 'good news' by assuming too many things about other people and speaking in the "old language" without engaging in meaningful intellectual discussions by assuming everyone is "dumb" and ignorant of living in a supposed delusion/trap is one of the things i intend to change in this "church" thing. writing and internet can only do so much. speak to a real life human being and always admit whenever you don't know something so you can find out and grow from it. DON'T simply take in what they (meaning the church) tells you. read the word yourself and seek to truly understand it. come to your own convictions with the help of the Holy Spirit and never judge another simply because their interpretation is different. my motto: as long as it's not anti-God, it's whatever.

I've been there, said all of those things - I even made statements very similar to your own -, and done all of those things too.

I even promised to myself I wouldn't spend any useless time in front of the computer any more. Of course, I thought it was a sin to waste time in front of the computer when reading the Bible was so much more productive.

I really hope you do end up leading a life of victory in the faith in Jesus Christ, if that is what you wish. I, for one, didn't. Let all of the water boil out, then look inside the pot and see what's left. After all of the emotions of finally finding hope for what now seems to be a sinful, miserable life fade away, you will end up in quite a strange place.
