if a lvl 1-10 noob can drop items when dying by mobs this can easily be tested for "countless" of hrs due to the fact they can be ress on the same spot they die...

i'll go with JM answer until something diff..happens to me.

Yes, but you can't drop female ones.

Also, I have no idea. I've died a lot and haven't dropped mine...been active for 3 years...
