People seem to think that if someone bots, they're a bad person and they need to go to hell. I don't judge someone because of what they do. If they bot, that's their business. I know a lot of botters who are really nice people. Do I agree with the way they play the game? No. Maybe it's just the kind of person I am. I'm open-minded, and I always try to understand both sides. I don't judge people based on what they do; I judge someone on who they are. At least some people wanted to make a clean sro server that wasn't full of cheaters. Enough with the hypocrisy shit, people can change and try to make a difference not QQ all day. Plenty of servers if you don't like Venus.

And a lot of gold bots are run by greedy players not just gold companies. So while you're being friendly to some guy he'll feel comfortable in a nice safe server where he can bot all day with 20 clients running.

The way the xp curve is there will always be botting, find me one mmo where people don't bot or try to exploit the game. Get used to it because its not going anywhere. Venus is in my opinion, worst server ... MMO's are places where we can unwind and just be whatever we want, whenever we want ... They turned it into Real Life, only without chicks.

Now let me play devils advocate here. How do you have fun grinding? Mashing the same 5 skills over and over again. This is not WoW where pve can take some brain power. We all grind for the 1 simple reason and that is to job war, cape fight and fortress wars. Your going to come back and say, I like grinding looking at the same mob hours on end and talking with my friends. Scratch the grinding part, they have chat rooms for that. No, there is a group of people that is legit. Avalon is full of Legits, whether this forum would like to think so or not. We have a policy that allows reformed botters to join the legit community and grind in a social environment. Whether they do that or not is their own thing, we don't care. If they get caught doing something illegit in our eyes, they are banned, simple enough, right? I would expect any legit guild in the game to ban a botter from their guild, yet when people on Venus do it, it is wrong? What kind of logic is that? o.o

I love how you defend botting and put down grinding.

Bot plays 24/7, not only is it faster lvling and sp farming, but it has alot more chance of getting good items and gold, how is that not more of an advantage lol. Not to mention alot that do also buy gold.

I enjoyed grinding in sro, even without someone to talk to, I was playing the game,and working on getting higher lvl, it was fun for the most part.

Seal Online, there may not be no botting at all(never seen one yet though), but the GMs are quite active in that game, they even post on the forum alot, and have random item mall sales, and random mini events, and actually help ppl ingame, If sro didn't have like 5 gms for the 30+ servers sro, it might not be such an issue, but Joymax would need to care about it first.

If most botters weren't such asses then ya it might not be so bad then either, but when you throw in alot of turks and little kids you get horrible game play. And for it's stupid to have to play with those conditions or not at all.

Like I said, I enjoyed it, it's not just the grinding you actually wanna do, it's what you get for doing it, and in a normal game grinding more and getting higher lvl then others is a part of it, then ppl give up and can't do it, so they cheat.

Silkroads war on bots will NEVER end, the reason why is because the game is free. Games that are P2P have 99% less bots and are actively banning the bots that do exist. Free games will always have bots. I hated playing and bots would show up and ks the shit out of you. I dont support botting because it takes away the competitive nature of the game, that for me was the more fun aspect.
