Setting the -20% tax is not just for this thief exploit lol actually well before this, the taxes on Troy have been -20 for a long time.

Since there is no tax money there is no fighting over what to do with it.

And best of all, it actually makes MORE money then the fort does if you really thing about it. Sell your drops in Jangan with a 20% profit. I've made a good 10m extra gold just because I started npcing there. If you split up 500m some gold throughout the union, you don't even see a single gold piece.

Yeah jagex did kinda mees up on this, so makes thieving the easiest thing to work on.

NPC 1 drop would give u more gold...

the point is about abusing the ranking system in order to easily gained experience points and probably be rank 7 thief in no time

This was just to show that the job system is screwed. It was not about making gold really.

This doesn't show the job system is screwed. All it shows is that if you cheat (exploit the game by getting your thief into town with a transport) you can take advantage of buying/selling loot at a discounted rate.

This wouldn't be possible if you didn't cheat by going into town with your ox in the first place.

Couldn't that same exp be earned outside of town? Have trader come outside, drop loot, you take it to thief town to sell. I think you'd get the same exp either way, just possibly slightly less gold (I know, not the point) since taxes aren't involved.

Yes, you'd get the same exp and the same amount of money [except that you'll waste more on resources due to spawns.] Only problem is that it's slow since you have to use bandit scrolls, risky since hunters can kill you/other thieves jack your shit, and that you have to deal with a 5 star's spawns every time. Taxes would be involved since the only time the taxes are taken into consideration is when the trader buys the goods in Jangan.

I have a lvl 4 96% and a lvl 5 28% and I have earned all my exp through stealing trades, not sitting and having a friend dump goods for me. lol I already know that in sparta whoever has the bandit den will set it to +20% tax then no one will trade there since they might actually end up losing money if if they finish their trade sometimes

As I have said before I got to lvl 5 thief at 37% legit. Ask Ragnarok he knows how long I have thiefed for on Troy.

at level 90 a 5* owns your ox in like 10 seconds

i dont think so...i nvr seen anyone "solo" a 5* lil...i dont think u can solo npc thieves that are 89.90..w/o some sort of outside help...healing or something.

Isn't an ox only lvl 60? I know you can get one once you turn lvl 60. Maybe it's about time Joymax created a higher level trade transport available at the stables. I guess there's always elephants and behemoths, if you have the fortress, but how do they compare versus the ox? (I've only ever had as high as the lvl 45 horse).

hp of item mall transports are adjusted according to your lvl..an ox can barely (if) survive a 5* spawn with 90 npc's and the behemoth has about 140k hp or some shet...it goes down in a few nukes by wiz/nukers...funny when one day on troy...when we were trading and they came in with a behemoth..fail

well, i dint check if it was a 5* .. it was a max 5* for my trader friend so >.<..
spawn was pretty big, but they dint kill me, coz AND the ox tanks some while im spamming its pots, and i can take enough (though euro npcs would be a pain in the ass)
its also different at level 81 then it is at level 90 i guess
if you play on troy, you can come watch i dont care xD aint making stuff up
