Dunno if this has been suggested before but i think that you should do two different competitions for pure INT s/s and pure INT spear, us s/s nukers can't always afford or borrow a powerfull spear to nuke a mangyang. I have not browsed all 50 pages of the topic but i bet that the top 3 pure INTs are both spear nukers who therefore could afford a much better spear.

I don't know what you are talking about, a spear and a sword are two entirely different weapons, its like putting a pure STR category, who would win? bladers or glaviers? This should have been made ages ago.

If I remember right, mangyangs have 7 phys def and 12 mag def. It may not sound like much, but debuffing DOES help.

If it's his own skills, i don't see any problem.. But the highest dmg contest did get a bit unfair when euro came out. Pre-euro there were only damage and hit scrolls to increase your damage

well.. that's why the damages have been divided in 2 categories:
-chinese ( and the subs )
-euro ( and the subs )

Well us chinese can still never reach the dmg wiz/clerics/rogues do, even though they split the damage contest, i still like comparing chinese to euro, and people can cheat with using debuffs from someone else and photoshop their picture to look like there arent any debuffs.

You may not use outside skills, so no buffers/debuffers. I use ONLY my own skills so i dont see a problem..

if you wanna test your cleric dmg then u only use your cleric skills.
if you wanna test your warlock dmg then u can use ur warlock debuffs.
other than that the only debuff that is acceptable r ones that decrease the targets parry ratio as they do not actually increase the dmg.

O.o why if u decrease ur enemy's parry ratio ur damage won't be higher ?

ok lets say u have a possible dmg range of 1-10. the lower the parry ratio on the target the more likely u r to do closer to 10 or 10 dmg. a minimum parry ratio value however still does not guarantee that u will hit 10 every time and in fact u could even hit 1 a million or more times in a row since its about chance. now, since it does not make the range go from 1-10 to 2-11 its ok, and since the dmg contest is about your char's max dmg. other debuffs affect the phys/mag def of the target and increae the possible dmg (by a lot if u remember the low 7X warrior that did several k's of dmg more than an 80 warrior with similar +7 weps) therefore they are considered outside skills. which is why warlock debuffs r only allowed on warlock tests, and chineese debuffs only allow the parry ratio debuff. due to the lack or warlocks and lack of force skill chineese users the skills are not widely accepted by most as something every1 has available (sorta like silk dmg scrolls) and r therefore not allowed.
so i reccomend for the competition u get a very high parry ratio debuff if possible, but again no other debuffs. now, if you wanna show the biggest dmg possible go get a warlock or a force user and go for it, but it will not take a spot on the leader boards.
