if your stupid enough to think pk2 editing is a "3rd party program" then you really are dumb as ****. How does it work in your advance like a bot does?

Besides, JM clearly explained WHY it is not allowed.

You deserve nothing but a ban. right in your face.

you have no right to say the forums rules need to be more clear, you have no right to just say "if i get banned pk2 editors need to be banned too"

YOU did something against the rules, YOU need a ban..

they took it out of their rules so technically it is legal

I'm not going to lock this topic because indeed there is more to it than just him posting a SS of himself botting.

However, we as SRF, as the fan site, do not accept botters in our community. If they admit to botting or support botting then we will remove them from our forums.

As far as PK2 editing goes, yeah JM doesnt really like it, but we don't have a problem with it. I mean, it doesnt effect other players, it only effects your client. On your screen, on your computer. Its changing the looks of things, not their actual effects or so on.

So yea, according to our rules, that SS is yourself admitting to botting, and you will be removed from SRF.

However, im only keeping it open because there is, yes i know under all these pages some small decent debate and discussion, don't make me have to lock it.

To me (besides srf is a fan site for sro players) i see srf (esp general discussion) like a sro server.
Say we (members) are players, mods (cin, van, keyj, soda, etc) are like the server supervisors, and SG and Ryoko are GM's, game masters.

what we try to do here, is try to play this game, trying to have fun and enjoy this community, and to share our experiences of this game to other members (players).
Now, there are rules in srf. Rules we have to follow. Srf (to me) represents what a server shud be, what the game shud be. Clean, no cheats at all, with active players, opened to have a discussion, and Gm's (admins) always providing justice to the game. You botted, broke a rule. An admin has to act, and you've to get banned, as simple as that.

sro is screwed, that we all know it, but at least i see in srf this utopia about how the game shud be. You're right, probably 1/3 of srf members bot, i can name you a lot of members in babel who bot. But till the evidence isnt posted here, they cant get banned. But whenever that happens, i'm sure SG will get his ban hammer and clean this forum, just as he's been doing it so far.

If Joymax did their job and banned bots the game would be so much more enjoyable, and very few people would bot like in WoW. However, I feel SRF is wrong by banning people due to their in-game actions, I understand for something like spamming but what you do in-game should stay in-game.

Then again I wouldn't like SRF turning into a huge bot support forum like 0x33.

We are not the in game police. If you think that someone bots, and you say you have evidence, then send it to SRO. We cannot ban people on speculation alone, even if you have a vid and SS.

We have to have concrete and concise evidence. and a SS like that, of a user posting himself, with a Bot notice in it is 100% Evidence.

I'm not going to lie, i'm sure some of you here bot. It's a fact of life, and if you remain quite and to yourself, then we can't do anything about it. I know it might seem weird, but we try to get as far away from the game as we can, and we especially don't want to bring In Game Drama (between users) onto the forums.

Think more of SRF as an Escape from the hardships of the game. This is a privately owned forums. Meaning we have our own set of rules which we follow, thats why we don't follow what JM has put up, because they don't run these forums. Example: As mentioned before, the Pk2. They don't like it, but we don't mind it. We know there is no harm and no foul with Pk2 editing. It doesn't upset the game. By making it unfair for others.

However we do agree on the Bot problem. Take it like this, black and white. You bot, we ban.
There is no middle ground, there is no what if? You admit to botting, you support botting, you link people to bot sites and so on. We will ban you.

Why? Because we are a legit forum, this is a place where truly legit people can come and discuss and enjoy the game. We DONT want botters in our community, and that is why we ban people who we can confirm as botters by them breaking the rules and so on.

I'm trying to make myself understandable and clear, however i am a bit ill. So maybe things didn't come out as right as i wanted.

i respect people's opinions on this topic. I can see the good and bad sides of allowing botters on the forums. I mean on the one hand, they are a large part of the community, but then again they are cheating.

Many botters that you and i know are great people in-game. But at the same time there needs to be 'some' semblance of order. On SRF, we can have that order. Where the Gm's in-game fail us, the mods here don't. I think that is important to a lot of people. At least at srf legits have some hope for a community.
What you do in-game is your business. If however you are revealed as a botter then i think it is fair for you to be banned, regardless of how great a person you are. No one should be above the rules.

For SRF, no where does it say that using a third party program will get you an instant ban, it says it prohibits it, therefore you can conclude that the consequences will be determined by the admins. However, it does say that if you show a screen shot of yourself botting, you will be banned. Period. So...bye.
