ign scammer: JaYc

The Scam: Offers like 2x for SOS, +5+, and other stuff and exploits a bug... He puts the money in exchange mode and right before completing he reduces the gold amount dramatically thus the scam

For now, GMs have yet to know but for all you Oasis people IGNORE JaYc... there have been alot of G-Chats concerning him as well

I have yet to report him to a Silk Assistant...thats in my union... So until then... Avoid trading with JaYc....

ok. here's a scammer that is really retarded.

switched it from 1.5 mil to 150k. He didn't even do it right lol. he just switched it when i pressed Confirm. it was pretty obvious that the number changed xD

u can see that i clearly stated that it was going to be sold for 1.5 mil.
however...

he tries to act stupid after the switch, trying to persuade me that he thought i wanted 150k :banghead:

then i do the whole warn-everybody-that-they-should-not-trade-with-him thing, and he tries to make a comeback

he says that he's caught me botting

and that there is a video of it on http://www.silkroadonline.net. LMAO. wtf? as u can see on the status box on the lower right, i just came back from a trade run. Plus, the official site would not possibly have any videos of botters. obvious he did not think this through very much...
then, he tells me that he's got a screenshot (he probably meant one of me botting )

lol btw i never botted before in my life

he gets mad at me for some reason

and does a "your mom" thing, but fails miserably. Dam this guy was weird. kinda sad that he thinks its weird for me to catch him at scamming xD .

so, i'd like to ask everyone what they would do if they were in a similar situation. what would you do if someone suddenly accused you of botting as a comeback for catching their scam?

i'd certainly like to make a new character and repeatedly murder him :twisted:

I caught a couple of botters on Venice, probably belonging to the same person, since they had similar names, similar equipments and skills, and appeared one after another, each grinding for a while, then disconnecting.

I tried talking and whispering to them, and then did a little killstealing, without any reaction.

I got screenshots of 2 of them, Duenv and Aiuvn:

Yep i am in Venice and i see all these botters near the giant monster palce. They all have similar names no guilds and always a glavie. I reported like 5 of em and only one got banned. =[

on babel they are everywhere... i know some since the demon horses and now are at the robbers, but during a trade run a saw some around tigers and yeohwa :shock:

If you remember the name of that guy put it in there so we can know that if he is a scammer when we see him or her ,btw there isn't real way to buy silk ingame so do not fall for this trick and even if someone would be saying the truth they still need to know you username and password to put the silk in your account :banghead:

Calindo on Oasis was selling a SoS lvl 24 Bow+3 for 2.5m, when I put in the money, he took out the bow and accepted. I canceled then he logged out.

1hypo1 was "selling" silk on babel, he wanted 1 mil for 100 silk.... he wanted account id and password, to charge the silk... when i said nice scam he said lol a couple times and discoed

i hope he spends a while grinding the login window

I apologize to SuicideGirl, i was mistaken about the scammer I found, it was FantasyGirl. I accidentally deleted the full text of her scam, but this was after she said she was quitting and would give someone 300k. She takes you out to the tents next to dh and...:

I have a lot of screens of _ZeroCool_. First two are of him actually doing the scam of a stall name advertising a som lvl 1 bow, but the bow selling for 1m in his stall is just a plain bow.

A day or two later I saw him in JG trying to buy stuff and confronted him. These were his responses to my accusations, which both admit to having done it and try to deflect the spotlight to me.

I have over a list of like 50 gold farmers/sos item hunters/botting chars. I will edit this post once i get home and add the names. (posting this from school names are written down @ home and I have a screenie of a user admitting he bots)

If you want to buy a pot bag but there is only 1 pot left. You can just see it. So I don't think it's rude from the seller. The one who buys it is just having to watch out.

And also other things like normal ID card for 990k. You must look what you buy. :roll:

exactly why are people with high prices on their stalls "scammers".

in my opinion if you're dumb enough not to do some research and buy 10arrows for 1000gold then you deserve what's coming to you. always ask the general public how much things normally go for, don't just assume because someone put a normal copper bow for 250,000 they're a scammer. dumb things happen to dumb idiots, simple as that.
