I disagree with you there. Some people bot simply because they dont have the time to grind all day. Others because they already have several or a legit char that they grinding all the way up and simple bot the other chars. Others because they play for the community and since the community on the majority of servers is botter which = high lvl, then they bot so they can enjoy the other aspects of the game, ie: pvp and jobbing.

I disagree with you there. Some people bot simply because they dont have the time to grind all day. Others because they already have several or a legit char that they grinding all the way up and simple bot the other chars. Very true. People would be less inclined to botting if Joymax actually showed a genuine effort in banning bots, but since they make it so people get a message of "You don't get in trouble in this game for botting", People finish grinding as a legit and want to start a new character or they want to play this game for it's high-end pvp and job and Fortress War. There would be no need for them to grind all the way by hand and farm the necessary sp. It's a game, they just want to have fun so they take out their money and trade it for gold, powerlvl, good items, and a bot.

It's not because they are being EVIL or unmoral, it's simply because they want to play a certain part of the game, and the creators of the game don't care how ppl play their game as long as they are getting paid by the players. It's like so many games out there before SRO, many had a built in cheat system, sure it wasn't cool or quite as fun turning on invincible mode and unlimited ammo, but some people do it because they wanna try and see what the end boss can do, some people might want to see the ending movie. Methods to cheat are always there, those who cheat will be looked down upon by those who don't since they had to spend more effort to get to the end. However, whether it is right or wrong is determined by whoever is running the game. If the person in charge doesn't care, than how can it be wrong???

For me, the legit anti-bot campaign reminds me of the old super eco-tree huggers. They rallied against big companies for using pollution-causing chemicals and practices. However, when the people in charge don't give a rat's ass, than nothing will be done and the big companies(botters) will just continue merrily on their way.

Yes, they make it unfair, but a normal 1-man player bot will do the exact same thing a normal player does, except for the fact he doesn't get tired and he finds the mob the instant it spawns. (I don't find that to be a bother though since botters often get distracted by stupid mobs and ignores my happy giants)

Goldbots and JM destroyed gameplay. Goldbots come en mass and cramp the servers up. JM doesn't have admins that controls their servers, so we end up with a messed up gameplay experience when grinding up the levels.

I hardly think that botting = person is evil though... That's just overkill. Hell, if botters were so evil, than how am i farming 10k sp from botters doing free ong powerlvl... Hell, one even gave me gold so i could buy some horses...

Botters and other goldbuyers buy the gold farmed by goldbots. If there were no goldbuyers/ bots, there would be no gold companies because business would be low. Most of the botters that don't buy gold have their own army of goldbots. Bots in general destroyed the game. I agree, JM could have done a better job, but its too late for that now anyways.

I've played from the non bot era to level 93. Gold bots had little to no effect on my grinding. The game wasn't supposed to have this many capped players. There isn't enough room to grind because of that. If everyone was legit areas wouldn't be so populated because people wouldn't play 24/7. When a legit player has to wait to 3 AM just for all the bots in his room to leave/dc..well you get the picture. The sad part is the bots are then replaced with other bots at 3:15 AM. I'm not exaggerating either, player bots are just as if not worse than gold bots. Hell player bots are one of the main reasons gold bots exist. Player bot creates 3 more accounts and farms gold with them. Cheaters are going to continue to cheat (buy gold) etc etc.

How do you not have enough room to grind? I ran around with some high lvl friends in chin tomb and that place was still relatively empty compared to the tomb in dw. Than again, I haven't really "grinded" or lvled in the past 9 months so i don't know much =P. I'll just assume ur right on this one ^_^

Botting is not really faster than playing legit if you do it right. Half the time I see a bot out there, it's humping a wall, not grinding. There are plenty of people who play this game legit and form 8-man grind parties that grind a lot faster and harder than bots, and because of that they gain experience faster.

SRO is not hard to play at all. It never was. It can take a while to level, depending on how you play (legitimately) but it is certainly not hard.

Joymax is not making people bot. Perhaps Joymax needs to add more low-level content to make the game more fun for people during their journey to cap. However, if the game is not fun, then quit. I don't understand why people feel they deserve a high level character, in any game, if they just cheat their way up to the top to get it. If we were all supposed to have lvl 100 characters, Joymax would just give everyone a lvl 100 right off the bat with some decent gear and make this a PVP-only game.

It would be both of their fault. The car owner should know not to leave their door open, but thieves shouldn't have free reign to just run around stealing things out of open cars. A large part of the blame rests on the thief for not respecting other people's property, which is why the thief will serve time in jail if caught, not the car owner.

Sure, Joymax allows botters to exist, but that doesn't mean they SHOULD exist. If Major League Baseball suddenly allowed any and all steroid use, should the players all start loading up on the stuff, and encouraging their teammates to do so?

But the real problem is not the bot who play after that,it's the gold mbot,THEY RUIN the game,if you can't find a spot it's because of them,T sro or vsro don't remember allow to use a bot,they should do that but not for make money,gold bot(allow only a certain period,for exemple until you got premium xp time on),all the other botter should be banned,it's the best way fr me to have a normal silkroad(or they make increase rate XP/SP but they won't do it(they also increase sp masteries for 100 cap so..)).But,for joymax they need to make money,they don't do anything for player,that why i leave (and most of my friend too).
So for me even if i stopped:

or
They increase the rate XP/SP instead of make shit for play more longer.
They clean all these gold bot.

it's not that they don't ban bot, sometime you saw a player bot banned, but most are goldbots. There are 30*3500 players, i'm sure they don't want to waste their time to go to every bot to search for bots, knowing that they'll recreate another one in next week.
If ppl in Venus can make a lvl 90 legitly then everyone can. There is no excuse such as "got no time" or "low exp" ...

Spam and gold-clientless bots are the easiest to detect, because of their name and the spamming. But do you realize that JM don't have the same definition of bots like you do? For them "bot" is "bot", they don't differentiate gold or player bot.
Before, how many times someone used a bug report to report bots and used the word "bots" instead of "player bots"? 0 time.

SRO is not hard to play. It is not hard to level. It can take a long time, if you're not hardcore active in good 8-man parties, you don't buy silk, grind by yourself, etc., but it is not hard.

You shouldn't HAVE to be capped and fully farmed in order to enjoy this game. If you have to be there, then maybe this game isn't for you. Cap/FF should be a reward for all your efforts you put into the game, not just something you can get for free.

I can't help but laugh at the people who say "it's not the botters' fault for botting, it's Joymax!" Botters have no one to blame but themselves for the decision they make.
