i had lucky stone and astral stone in my inventory. i intended to add these stones first but i accidentally added the elixir instead. i was hurrying things and clicked the button before realizing what i did.

I think it's obvious that JM wrote in the code for SRO that after you fail a set amount of times going from +4 to +5 with lucky powder then you get one free upgrade without lucky powder.

I also made a 72+7 spear with no astrals. Just cant find the pic. Oh the astrals on the equips were meant for me to get +6~7. But I had to stop going to work with a hangover

Thanks . Most of the equips went easily to +4, half went +5 on first try. The astrals were there after they went +5. I tried to +6 the pants, but it failed (wasnt drunk at the time ). Didnt bother to try it again though.

Update on using lucky powder going from +4 -> +5 with three more items, all done at the same time (this morning).

Item 1:

1. Success with lucky

Item 2:

1. Fail with lucky
2. Success with lucky

Item 3:

1. Fail with lucky
2. Fail with lucky
3. Fail without lucky
4. Fail with lucky
5. Success without lucky

So this round is 2/6 with lucky (33%) and 1/2 without lucky (50%).

I'll have to try this.. I had 18 lucky stones lvl 8 and used 16 now, and only 5 items went to +5 with all those stones

I still need to +5 five more things to complete my set..

Unfortunately 8th degree lucky powder won't work so well because these are lower level items.

And yeah, like cin said the point of the story wasn't "look at me, I can +5 three items." It was about either 1) a hugely improbable experience or 2) some weird glitch or algorithm bug. As I mentioned in the first post, "you decide." The consensus is "luck" which is probably where I fall as well, but still...you gotta admit...it's kind of weird.

And is getting an item to +5 really that big a deal? If I knew that was some kind of great accomplishment that warranted more than just a "woot" in guild chat (at most) I would have been posting them on SRF for ages.

And really you "hate" me? "hate"? Sure there's some hyperbole there but isn't that a bit much? "Hate" because I didn't post a screenshot? So I post a SS of three items that are all +5, then you say "well, how do we know he didn't just buy them that way?" So I post the window that shows the successes up to +4, a few failures and then success to +5 and you say "how do we know he's not lying and used lucky on the last one?" So I need a movie, as X20A pointed out, and I'm damned if I'm gonna make movies of my alchemy. You mistake me for a non-lazy person. Are the other members of SRF really screaming for alchemy movies because I have a few stacks of material I'll be breaking down and we can all watch that for an hour.

So you really, honestly think I'm lying about this whole experience? The funny thing is, you're not even questioning the highly improbable story about me failing thirteen times with lucky and not failing three times without. You're actually questioning whether I can +5 three items. If I'm going to make up a story, I hope it will be a bit more compelling than the failure rate of lucky powder on SRO. And if you've spent any time doing alchemy, you know that +5 isn't really that big a deal.

Dude,idk about his so called-success, it might havae happened, but the post above is surely one of the smartest posts i've seen in awhile.

I tryed it out today.. worked on the second try - I will be doing this every time I try to +5 an item.
