Alchemy succeeds, attribute doesn't change
Ok what the hell.
I tried to increase the crit on my glaive. Alchemy failed, it went from 5 (+25%) down to 2 (+0%). OK, that's fine, I understand.
But then, it was a SUCCESS and went from 2 (+0%) to...... 2 (+0%).
WHAT THE HELL?
Tried 5 more stones... 2 failed the other 3 "succeeded", all did 2 (+0%) to 2 (+0%).
Can someone explain this retardation to me?

Ahh, thanks. So there is nothing I can do but continue stone after stone?
thats alchemy for you
lol, i just dont' bother with most stones maybe some added blues i'll do or elixirs but thats about it, it cost too much for broke me to buy a bunch of things that most likly fail, and if they do work dont' always improve it either

Glavie 72 - Crit 14(100%)
I got a question...When adding blues (like durability increase), is there still a chance that the critical may change? because, im afraid it may change.
Yup it does, so use 10% stones i heard to reduce the chances *i think*

thanks, because my guildmate says it doesnt change when adding blues.
No matter if you use the tablets to add blues or stats it can change all the time.. if you try make your crit and you have 5 str, then if there is an asimulation the str can go from 5 -> 4 (or other values 1,2 and 3).
So basicly: Ruby stones (purple tab or stone which change stats) can change blues and other stats if there is an asimulation. And Jade stones (which adds blues as str) can change blues and stats if there is an asimulation. thats what atribute assimulation is. the lower the % is on the stone the lower the risk is af assimulation.. so a 5% is best and 35% stones is worse (you normally see 10%, 20% and 30% stones 5% and 35% stones are rare)
The only thing that can NOT asimulate is when plussing.. and many has question if a +4 to a +5 can make reduce of durability or dissapear i can NOT.. it can only be granted dura reduce from +5 to +6, +7, +8, +9 and so on and it can also dissapear when plussing from +5 and above.

to loveisintheair: only 5
i spent 16 challange stones on my bow and finally it was crit 2.
I gave it to my friend and bam, crit 8 at 17th stone
to Kathyryn: of course there is a possibility that adding blues could assimilate and reduce your crit or any other stats. Guess why did i spent 16 challange stones?

Actually recently i was adding blues to a +7 glavie i made, it was also crit 9.
When i was done with the blues (only using 10% stones), i wanted to fix the mag reinforce that was only like 12% (all other white stats were good, both att. power were 61%), well then what? First stone that worked crit 9 - 2, with a 10% stone.
Lesson from that? Just do stones that are really worth it, you can even get bad assimilation from 10% stones.
Oh and for those interested, i actually burned 60-80 crit stones after that to fix the crit, no luck. But i assimilated almost all the blues to bad %, so then I tried to fix the blues, and what? Got an assimilation on the crit, crit 2-8 lol.
Alchemy is farked up.

alchemy is a bitchy little girl. 10% stones will smash up your crit/br, even if they are jades.
e.g, Trice's old sos42 shield with 18BR. i liked that br. it was good to me. Then i got a 10% str stone and was like yeah! str! 10%! thats like only 1/10 that something will change!
Attribute Assimilation BR 18-> 10
Str has been granted 4 (or 3, whatever was 100% for D6 stuff)
20 stones later, that br was 15.

when you are trying to change a white stat on top I always plan on using at least 20 stines to get a good stat and crit is one of the hardest ones to change, on my 72 staff it was 0% mag attack, 3% attack rating, and 21% mag reinforcement, it took me 30 stones to get my mag attack to 61%, 15 stones to get my mag reinforcement to 61% and then on the first stone my attack rating went to 80%, most of the time it takes alot of stones to get anything good

and im not joking either guys....that was one fcking unlucky night for me wasted like 4 mil
EDIT*- btw it always does that to me ...that thing where it goes like crit changed from 8>8
