How does rev6 knows so much about everyone? they know the gear the level everything lol, I just checked my char and its all right expect the level

I made a post like this yesterday lol. Packetsniffers. its what people use to know when monsters are about to pop in FFXI.

They use a bot that intercepts data sent to the server and they post it on their website for everyone to see. They do not give you keyloggers/viruses when you visit their website like Joymax tries to make people think.

Packet sniffing isn't an easy process to detect...so the bots for the majority of time go un-noticed.

It's strange, my main character is about 8 or 9 months old, yet it was just recently added to the on the rev6 site. I wonder why none of my other characters were never listed

It's not because they're lowbies because last I checked, there were a bunch of newb characters listed.

maybe you weren't near a bot that detects for them if thats how they do it, which would be easy if they left a few bots in each town and looked at every one that walked by, since i bet it does it just by the strings and stuff their computer gets that would normally be used to render you

When your character teleports to town the info that they use is
sent to all clients in that town from the server, They just save it to a database .

My question is, what else can they detect this way. This honestly seems like a virus or something. If something was sniffing my packets id be concerned.

strange i wonder where their bots are. i wasnt a level 24 on the 1st dec i was 25 or 26. they got all mt data wrong.

Your level shown on the site is the level of the highest level equipment you have on.
