They only need your id. I create an account to see how it work the exploit after being hacked and it took me only 5 minutes hack the account that I just create knowing just id.

Right. BUT. To change the In-Game Password, you need SA.

I sympathize with you, I had the same thing except I was lvl 80 fully farmed with 100+k of sp and it all got donated to my guild that I also lost along with my +7 spear I made from scratch and a good set, etc. :banghead:

if you guys havent read or heard there is a security leak on joymax.com that many people know about and all higher lvl people with SUN are getting hacked :shock:

, rev6 posted most of how to do but not all yet, if they post the rest, you better not log out of you character, if so and your high lvl with nice items you can kiss your stuff goodbye :banghead:

(I dont log out of my character I have enough computers to give one up) :twisted:

In mean time the password and the email can be changed and next time you won't be able to login.
There will be a server inspection or you dc.
So this won't protect you at all.

Only thing you can do is periodically check your login info on jm site id it works.
If it doesn't move all the items and gold to other character ...

Having 5+ account helps....

Supposingly correct ... and even if they can't fully take your account, since from what I heard if you verified that account in the regular way with an eMail, you can recover after that as well ... but it is definitely enough for stripping the char.

@ DJ: Sorry to hear that, but one question: Since Step 1 only lets you change the Portal password, the one who did it also did Step 2, so changed your password for ingame as well, while not knowing the original one... so your PW was wrong for both sites (silkroadonline.net and joymax.com/portal) I assume ... did you then put a new password by using the eMail you verified with? Since that screen shows you logged in again, you must somehow have gotten access again..
This is just to prove my thought that in case you verified, even if you get hacked, you can at least restore your account.

I was hoping that all the commotion would make Joymax fix the first step at least?!?
I think that Joymax has no real employe... The game has been automated...
It not hard to modify 1 line of code in an asp page to fix that part :/
Has anyone tried the joymax.com bug report?

Btw, did you know that if your account crash when you login the game because your stuck in a wall... You can use a clientless and get it unstuck?!? I believe it a clientside error that crash the game... Somehow they got my attention on that part... A few people reported such problem. I wonder how long they waited to have that bug fixed... Should be a pain for Joymax each time such a bug appear... Unless there would be a clientless that enable you to cast a return scroll and that exit the game after...

I will disable the ladder for a week or so, if someone has a bugged char and want to test what I just said. Let me know on our forum

If step 2 is posted any account can be taken, partly or fully.
Some ppl figured out step 2 from the step 1 already ....

ps.:
1 thing, all the gm char names posted, gm accounts got spawn/summon rights.
Wouldn't it be easier to spawn unlimited gold, then collecting for 100 accounts ...
Gm accounts are same as any player accounts, no extra security.

Ive been changing my password without my SA for weeks now ive just done it recently with email verification.

a rollback wont fix the problem at all. JM team shud look on their own butts and work on this problem, AND solve it.

A rollback would help, not completely fix the situation. It would give the people their stuff back. JM would also have to fix the problem so it cant happen again. Thats common sense though. -.- Whats a few days of grinding to half the servers accounts? Just wait 'till a few of your guildies get hacked, they quit, and you end up being alone.

All 78 lvls were gotten by hand and by me.
