best sub-class for a warrior?

Post by soloooo »

ive read some guides, they all say cleric, but actually, with cleric, you can only heal yourself/res/heal party members (not useful in PVP), the buffs are not usable on yourself

how about bard subclass? you can get 55% speed increase...

or warlock? you can stun and posion/weaken enemy and then charge up to kill

any suggestions?

it does depend a bit on what section of warrior, But i would have to say hands-down cleric it is worth it in all ways, If you can learn to be good at wepon switching the heals are useful in pvp.

i agree cleric is a good sub. Many choose bard for the speed buff...but cleric hasgot so much more... healing, defensive buffs etc

cleric as sub has healing/bless
bard has speed/noise/mp

the other things dont stay
so choice is get def for getting pounded on or noise so you kill 1 by 1, speed helps too

but warrior will be pounded on anyways... so having noise on a warrior seems pointless in parties

there are some buffs useable on yourself.Bless spell which increases your defense by a insane amount, recovery division which heals ur hp for hundreds every few seconds for 300 seconds, and holy word which is a good defense against the more nasty status effects so actually its a very good PVP build.on top of that u can do all that other stuff you said which makes it good for party play and pve

to above noise prevents you from being attacked by general monsters first upto a certain lvl.

I have to say cleric, bless, that lvl 30 defense buff you can target yourself and it stays, healing cycle, being able to res to me is always been important, but bless combined with already good defense and warrior damage equals 45 seconds of juggernaut, expesially with berserk

Depends on what kind of Warrior...

2H War/Cleric

Save yourself the trouble of switching out later, trust me, once you get high up or see how a good 2h War/Clerics go in PvP, you can't not want to be one... Hehe, I think I've set the 2H War/Cleric trend in my server and seen lots of 2H Warriors switch subclasses later, which is funny, hehe...

1H War/Warlock

Best possible combo for 1hand, it just makes sense... Warlock debuffs and disables makes up for the 1Hand's weaker damage, also, the convenience with switching. Plus shield trash only requires a shield :P Downside is, you'll need tons of SP for this.

Dual Axe

If you're one... Then might consider switching... (Just plain sucks) Hehe! It's like the hybrid of warrior class, it has some nice combos but they get old fast, and once your past that, there's really nothing more there. Hehe!

warlock debuffs already make the enemy do way less damage.
That means youd need to heal less, and then youd do more damage cuz of the debuffs that cut the opponents defenses.

ive had a warrior, its so hard to kill chinese :S
its a nice tank with the skins but once their gone and in cool down you're screwed.

warrior/warlock = warlock debuffs and then warrior skins. And really nice damage.

For Two-hand, go Cleric.

Why not warlock:
Two-hand sword all ready does enough damage, so having warlock as your secondary isn't a necessity. Though, two-hand sword isn't so great at defense, other than having skin buffs at your disposal (which only last for 45 seconds) and you can't rely on those always. This is when cleric comes in. It gives you recovery division, the skill that recovers your lost HP every (I believe) five seconds. Bless spell, a super defense buff that pumps your defenses against magical and physical. Then, holy word (soon better holy spell), which is basically just like fire shield from the Chinese perspective.

Why not bard:
Bard is only great if you're a solo type person. Anything else, I wouldn't recommend. You don't need noise, because you're a tanker. You need monsters to go at you, not the support classes or damage dealers. Speed is probably the only reason why you'd ever go bard, but why would you pick a class solely for one skill? You can always get other people to give you speed (another bard), or buy drugs that increase your speed.

Party is where the EXP is at, not soloing.
Recovery division supports parties, as it heals two players who have the least amount of HP at the current time. So basically, those who lost the most HP.
Bless Spell gives everyone in the party the defense buff.
Holy Spell (Not holy word) gives everyone in the party the buff.

Not only does these skills support your party, it supports you as well. Which means, you will do well in solo and party.

Granted they land and you don't die while casting never ending debuffs... (Can't use/retain skins or have passives without warrior weapon)

I'll only recommend warlock for 1Hand Sword user, otherwise nope...

And here's the reason why you'd want the extra 45 secs of defense and HP Regen/Heals...

SNOW SHIELD! It lasts for 2 mins...

Skins (45 secs 2 Mins CD) + Bless Spell (45 Secs 3 Mins CD)... Those + Regen/Heals... Go figure :D

P.S.

Having an 18+ Block Shield wouldn't hurt so bad either :P

with the bless thing though...

warlock has a reflect thing and damage orb, they doesnt stay... but it works rather well... and its fast, so just throw that, then start debuffing

nuker might even end up killing him self :/ lol

for the time it takes to use debuff, you can get that in before your pot kicks in, then switch back to warrior and use a skin

edit: like its you rather take 0 damage 20% of the time, or deal damage back 20% of the time... and considering you have more hp than a pure int... lol take a hit or two >.<

Depends what weapon you plan to use for it, since there are obvious ones that are suitable for the 1H & 2H Sword, but I'm yet to figure out a useful subclass for Dual Axes... is it even useful to have this weapon?

i say warlock with dual axe...

only draw back to axe is the damage is a bit slow, kind of like blader in chinese...

so getting debuffs would help it a lot, it has its own def buff and attack rating buff too

and axes dont need holy word as much, its one of its passives too

ppl are allways saying that cleric is best sub but tbh im rogue/bard and bard sub is super usefull in PvE and jobbing(merch mostly) :D u run fast and get noise, a sweet skill that makes mobs unagressive on u(champions and giant do still attack).in higher lvls bard can be good in partys with the buffs like 20% damage reduce 2 every1 and something like 30% more phy or mage damage  ,but 2 bards are neede 2 have theit harps on all the time.

never understood people saying skip bard and just buy speed pot...

skip cleric and buy grains ^^ they heal just as good and have 3 second delay, so use hp/vigor grains and delay is 1.5 seconds... it isnt like chinese really auto pot faster than that, they have 1 second delay so .5 delay isnt too bad in comparison

noise is good for merchants, if people dont know you can use noise and monsters wont attack wolf/transport either (except champ/giant)

invisible/stealth also works on transport ^_^ i did a run from jang to hotan solo at lv 30 riding transport and getting off just to use stealth

edit: ugh... i got side tracked :D not talking about doing trader job... lol
