Actually if the botter is asleep and the low lvl is dead all night... i think that brings about great satisfaction :P Aggro reduce ftw.

not all botters are infinitely afk.

Botting is illegal, powerleveling is not.

So...go kill the ones using an ILLEGAL PROGRAM not the ones trying to help SRO players :banghead:

What? Who exactly is helping the low levels in powerbotting?

Paying a bot to level you = direct relationship of supporting bots.

well most ppl here agree that powerleveling isnt that bad if its done by a real player and not by a bot, even though i dont like it either.
but boting just sucks and everyone who doesnt see how this ruins the game is stupid.
you say legit player complain because they are jealous?. so what? what do you think is playing mmorpgs about? talking and playing together with friends is one thing. but lvling up increasing skills, building up your own unique character and compete with other players, thats one big part of MMORPGs. But the fun of it is destroyed by bots who cheat to the max lvl without any efford, just to own everyone else with their chars. And the worst of it: they crowd the servers which are for legit players that want to enjoy playing this game rather than being lvled by a bot to enjoy the highend content of the game for a short moment until they are bored of their char because they have nothing else to do than braging about their lvl and doing some pvp.
and whats wrong with murdering or luring on bots or people that are plvled by them? its not gonna change much but if its fun to do so then why not trying to make at least some of these cheaters pissed?
if you think its retarted to do so then heres one thing you should think about: murdering, luring or whatever is part of the game.. but boting is not allowed so pls stop trying to defend it.

Easy ask who is not afk, kill the rest :)

Afk. out of safe area = legit target to do whatever.
Not afk out of safe area = can always run away :)
Be straight be proud of it, don't end up like them:

Ok your thinking that a botter really cares if you take away some exp by killing them?

Really?

If a person doesn't care enough to even play ther toon. The will give a total rats butt that you killed them. Or even know that you did. Unless you spam the hell out of them by the time they come back to ther computers. The normal spam will of cleared anything you did and all they will think is they some how died.

I gave up on Silkroad a while ago. I had 3 ops when the bots took over a long time ago. Join them, Kill them (I did for a while but they kept coming) or leave the game. You will feel good for now but after a while it will sink in that your not going to win.

Bots were here from day one. You know what most games call a bug or flaw in a game that lasts years?

A feature.

Bots are a feature of silkroad as much as anything else see or do.

Get used to it or leave..

Hesseth, I find your kind troublesome. I wish you could read the whole thread before sprouting out the same ole -- same old.

I kill them. Get used to it.

------

People like telling other people that they cannot do it, since they couldn't do it themselves. I don't expect to obliterate the whole botting community. I'm not on some crusade. This is one of my personal enjoyments from the game. What is a game for? Entertainment; I rest my case.

I get plevelers killed when I am bored and an opportunity presents itself. It can be a fun break now and then from grinding.

Though a few times I have had people basically scream at me "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS! I HAVE A LIFE AND NEED TO BE P LEVELED. STOP IT! I DON'T HAVE TIME TO GRIND, I HAVE TO STUDY! I HAVE A LIFE!"

I wonder why people like that think they are the only ones that "have a life"? :?

My theory of botting is simply because of game addiction. People want to get to high levels, but they can't due to real life scenarios that plays off and pull them away from playing the game themselves Thus, they bot. That or they're lazy.

I'd be lying if I ever said I never thought about botting. I have checked out the botting forums. But I figured out my addiction and decided to shut off Silkroad Online whenever I am required to do something more important. Education, work, and of the latter drives me to turn it off.

BE ABOVE THE INFLUENCE.

Who defends botting? Thats right, bots defend botting \o/.

The only bots were a few chinese ones, it was far from what it's like now, not every complete retarded ass had a bot, there wasn't any gold bots, you oculd actually go train, and if you said hi to osmoene they actually said hi back, the community was even nice then lol.

thanks for reminding everyone how it was and how it should be. =] no wonder one do all to find a legit guild/union. asshats seems to be little less ordinary around there.

OT:
may continues in game death come upon you when getting xp from a bot. whether it be 1st or 2nd hand botting, it is still the same. go cry at a bot forum if this annoys you.

Just a question about luring mobs. Once you get a mob aggro on you and run by the bot or power leveler, how do you get the mob aggro on them? I've tried before, run near them, and try to phantom away, and the mob seems to stay on me. :?

I do it old fashion. I aggro the monster then I run right through the targeted zone and out in a straight line. Sooner or later that aggressive mob will reach its limit and turn back. While it heads back to its original location it'll hopefully run near or directly at the targeted zone. Happy hunting.

BTW: I hope you aim for powerbotters only.

Jeez. People can be so ignorant at times. Stupidity is beyond any limit.
I wish people would take the time to understand something than to jump to conclusions.

I'll change the title to something more understandable.

Though, I have a question.. Why does JM prohibit the word "powerlevel?"

Or if you have a premium ticket just stand on them and log out. Then log back in and watch them die.

Couple of things. I just read every post in the thread.

1st of all, i congratulate you on your efforts zing. Good job.

2nd of all, the bot does lose some valuable assets. 1st of all they lose time they would normally use to level up. But most importantly, they lose real money. Remember botting does cost money, these people are wasting their money to get no results, which is a pro for the rest of us legits out there.

Biggest problem in this game is simply that people cannot live and let live. Why people go out of their way to be douchebags in this game is beyond me.

Second biggest problem is all the hypocrites. I guarentee you at least 5 people who posted in this thread with the usual "I hate bot" mantra a)bot b) buy gold or c) get plvled by a botter. Sad but true.

@OP You may feel justified in what you're doing, but you're still being a jerk. Ever consider that one of those low lvls may have just plunked down their last 300k for an hour of plvling? Ever consider they may not realize the guy is botting? There's several situations that could be happening, that you don't even consider that and just kill them anyways makes you a jerk. End of story.

Wow. Looks like that's powerbotters' only defense: "you're jealous."

I'm just going to ignore these posts, I've all ready answered them. Please take the time in reading over the whole entire thread, else don't post. You're just repeating what bunch of other people have all ready said before you.
