Warlock Rod Durability
Warlock Rod Durability
Is it true that they break really often? I was searching around the forums but it didnt come up. Any input before I start dumping SP into warlock subsection would help a lot, ty.

Your durability goes down when hiting stuff either player or monster, since warlocks do DoT their durability might go down a bit faster then lets say a wizard whom is a one hit wonder; but bladers do combos all day and they have enough durability with a blue stat added. I don't think that durablity of a weapon is enough of a reason to use or reject a skill tree.

My pride and joy CrazySuby is no longer mine. She is and always will belong to Dutchy.

It's not true, i use warlock, and my rod last for 2-3 hours without breaking, and without durability blue added. And it's the same time my former blader lasted. So I feel it's the same. Actually my inventory tends to get full and i run out of pots before my rod brakes.

My Wizard Staff hasnt gone below 5 dur in a loooong time, but when I was at Devil Eyes, it would. I can grind at Mage's & Shaman for my full ticket time with it not breaking now.
It is still kinda wierd cause if you think of it, you are just doing spells. How can that wear down the durability? In other games I have played, a wizard staff was one weapon that never broke since it never actually hit anything.

i'll think a master stone or 2 is much cheaper.
the thing about warlock and durability is the DoTs still tick on after the target is dead. it's a double edge sword since you charge serk faster cause of that but at the same time sacrifice durability. if you really really can't even put some blue durability on it just control your DoTting and use blood flower more i guess.
I know what im doing.punch wrote:Berto wrote:That's why I carry 2 or 3 rods when I go grinding

Why exactly do dots cause you to gain zerk faster?
Well your fitting in more attacks in a shorter amount of time is my assumption. All the debuffs and dots are like no delays between eachother so you get orbs faster than for instance a wizard who does a nuke at a time. I get a zerk every 2minsBoontang wrote:punch wrote:Berto wrote:That's why I carry 2 or 3 rods when I go grinding

Well, i can kill unique monsters
Btw, Tigergirl and her army crashed my whole armor -.- First time that my rod didn't break first.

You have to hits monsters to fill your zerk. Every DoT is like one attack und they hit every 2 or 3 seconds. Pretty fast^^

Zerk is obtained from killing more not attacking more, otherwise bladers would get zerk the fastest and they don't.
I don't really see how durability would be a problem, just change the durability on your weapon and add another 500% from a master stone and you get like double the dura. With my wizard i can grind anywhere from 1.5-3 hours nonstop without repair and I 1 shot things, and during party grinding we can go for 1-1.5 hours without having to repair a s/s' sword and equips. Since those are the two extremes, I can't see how warlock durability could be a problem in anything other than nonstop grinding for 3h + especially if you some dura and a master stone on the rod.
Hey look, in a party grind session I have a +120% dura rod (167 total) and another rod with 60% something, (around 110ish). During the whole party grind session I end up nearly breaking both. Yeah...it's pretty hardcore grinding loltorinchibi wrote:Berto wrote:Well your fitting in more attacks in a shorter amount of time is my assumption. anyone not fully played a warlock shoud realy shut their traps...
warlock rods DO break after half an hour (unless you add dura to it)
warlocks DO get zerk OFTEN... i got a video of me training, i spend more time in zerk then out of zerk... you go try that on any other character... fastest time i got zerk was in about 20seconds after my previous zerk ended
those are just plain ass facts you get by playing a warlock over lvl 40 (60)
