Yup Yup. See? SRO does not allow botters, there just not banning them.

well Joymax is a weird company (they cant even synchronize joymax standard time with silkroad one, don`t know if its on purpose but seems like silkroad is living in the past.) i do agree its definitely time for another clean up since most goldbots are close or 80 already.
did that new TOS come with the new website?
anyway i can`t agree more with Joymax they are running a game with a community that is for 95% totally not caring about the game they are playing we are the ones that are keeping this problem huge, i can`t blame them to remove any rules against botting and simply get as much cash out of it before its too late.
I mean if they even let people participate in their competition who have been banned before guess that says enough (the gngwc).

A long time ago I looked for the punishment section for botting and noticed that they had removed it and all the stuff about botting from the TOS. It's been like this for a while. Some guy had posted a program he made that made stall names marquee and argued that it was no more illegal than using Vent (It's prolly been nearly a year since that topic).

Barotix wrote:9. User shall not complain of problems that arise due to use of other software not by the Company in conjunction with the Company’s software.
the Company no longer allows the user to complain about flaws in the service of Silkroad Online; for this reason any questions regarding gold bots intown spam or general problems and bugs are ignored and/or left unchecked.9. Company has no responsibility to mediate between conflicts that arise between users or between the user and a 3rd party service or any responsibility toward any compensation for any problems that arise because of this.
Could also mean that JM isnt going to take responsibility if you decide to use 3rd party programs and a loss of account or personal information results... JM's ToS could be interpreted in a number of ways.. They leave too many loop holes.

Thanks for the info Barotix. You're right about the change in Tos, but I do think it is more for JM to cover themselves against the botting problem (as many have pointed out), so as not to be liable for its discourse and lack of solutions against it.
I hope you would at least stay on this forum
. There is always hope that things will turn around. If not, then I'll jump to RYL and try that out too >,^ (maybe after trying out guildwars first xD).

a few of my botter friends said that the bot servers are down and when you logout you cant log back in to the bot or something..
so now you can see how many bots use isro bot.. and thats not counting people that have been botting the whole time and did not log out.. some of them did not log out so they are still going..
************READ THIS!
These are the only things I found that would suggest that botting is illegal, which is too vague really to say one way or another.
Article 2 (Approval of Use Request)
1. Company may approve or disapprove and cancel such approval or agreement at Company's discretion according to the terms and conditions set out below.
① User's registered name is not a real name
② Illegal use of someone else's name (include lineal ascendants/descendants)
③ Omissions and/or misstatement on user application
④ Disapproval resulting from other misconduct of the User
⑤ Misconduct that is offensive to public peace, order, and/or morals
***⑥ Activity deemed as having ad adverse effect on Company's services
⑦ Failure to fulfill any terms and conditions of the Agreement requested by the Company
⑧ Payment of the service fee through the use of others' credit card, wired/wireless phone, or bank account without permission
6. User shall not violate other people's rights by using the services in violation of the public peace and morality.
This Agreement is effective from 10/2, 2007.
So you are correct, they did change the ToS - and from a legal standpoint, this document does not clearly or definitively state that using a third party program (bot) is illegal. However, the ToS states that they may ban accounts at their discretion.
This is the reason Mary Min quit
This is the reason why there have been no ban lists for months
