A few things to remember to avoid hack ^^

ill go straight to the point of my topic... Ever wonder why people are hacked? and blames SRO for hacking them? People are hacked in many ways.. for sure people playing SRO now are 80% below 19yrs old, this people im talking about are 70% prey to hackers.. because they are the kind of people who easilly TRUST.. Remember, hackers are people you dont expect could do such a thing to you.

Things you must Learn, to avoid hacking:

. If you are playing in a internet cafe, u have 50% chance of getting whacked!
(Hacked) Internet Cafe's has keyloggers for security purposes, the only thing
now is the one who has acess to these keyloggers. Its either the owner or a
third party.

. Internet cafe's sometimes has weak security logs wich makes your
chances of getting hacked increased to 100%

. If you happen know the i-net cafe has auto freeze, request to restart the
computer first before playing, this will erase all current files beeing downloaded
from the previous user, if the I-net cafe has non, then dont ask to restart the
computer because its useless.

. Also be careful with eyeloggers in the I-cafe. What im trying to say are for those
people who are standing at your back. They have quick eyes, especially if your
PW is so easy. Try using all numbers PW and use a cap to cover youre right
hand while typing in your PW.

. If you enter malicious site because youre friends tells you to.(there are sites
who automatically donwload files into your computer with out any permission)

This goes to people who plays in thier houses:

. Porn sites, I know you all like to see this site. your probably wondering whats the conneciton about this porn sites. Here is your answer. Most porn sites has advanced programming which weakens the defences of ur computer. In short, it disables them. making way for other mail in viruses which you are supposed to detect from your current security, but because it was already disabled, you cant detect them. But if you still insist that the security of your computer is well upgraded from time to time, try entering porn sites and see for your self..

. Trusting someone youve known only here in the net, and maybe
you may have met sometimes doesent make him/her worthy to trust with your
account info. People has different minds and sometimes unpredictable, even if he
is your close friends, he must understand that you cannot give him you account
Info, if he still insist to ask try to think again twice.

.DO NOT Downloading something over the net or via email from your friends who also happen to play SRO or has a backgrond of computer programming.
Read first before clicking the YES button! They can config these programs that Norton Anti Virus could not detect it, because a frakin spyware. If you download it, then your at your own risk.

. And do not download anything thats says This is a SRO bot program. Never! it
maybe contains for the thing you wished for but remember, a few config in that
and the file carries with it spyware program.

I hope this could help you reallized how will you be haked og get hacked or how did he hacked you.

and one last thing... The Game Guard that SRO put up with.. Ragnarok Online has the same game guard as of SRO but it is completely useless to keyloggers.

. Someone Pmed them InGame and told them you’ve won something, and they asked for your UN and PW. (That’s a bid No no!)

. (This usually Happens to people) You’ve chatted with someone InGame, you talked for 2 hours or something then he tells you his/her secrets ( remember, hackers wants your trust) and you tell urs. And if its not even enough, the hacker shows his/her Myspace/Freidnster profile to prove that he/she is real. Mostly these kinds of people are male hiding in a female character… We call them Chicksilog ( male pretending to be female), and what happens next, all your guards are down because of what you see in his profile is very persuasive. The next month after, ur whacked/axed!

.I don’t know about the Silk Road online forums but most people tells me that it is possible to view ur username by the site? If so, stay away from it. For your own good. ^_^

I would call this common sense, but it seems to be something some people lack off. You still stand a chance of getting hacked even though you follow those advices, but its not very likely to happen.

something i do is change my pw and never give out IGN or my e-mail to any one. even the e-mail i have listed on my srf is not the one i use for the game. and yes this is all pretty much common sense if your smart you'll probably never get hacked but sometimes i guess people need reminded.

i have something to say to all, if u dont want to be hack dont bot, play legit, and dont use any game modification tools

ur missing the point, Hackers wont care if youre playing legit or not botting as long as u fell in the vipers trap ur done ^^

anyways, its nearly impossible to hack a bot account, for the fact that it has auto log in... ^^ (In some other MMORPG's like ragnarok ^^)

im 17 and ive only ever been hacked 1 time from my best friend in rl he was sitting next to me when i was typing in id pw now im not his friend and i got my stuff back cause i new his id and pw ^_^ and i never go on any of thoes sites on the computer i use to do this site or any other sro related site i use diff comp and i have norton and avg and ad aware
