I want to hear from some one with axes over 40

Post by foudre »

lately there has been a couple threads where there has been people dissing on axes, and axes dominate the other 2 weapons before lvl 40
so I'm wondering, after 40 do the new skills for the other weapons really make axes worse?

if any one here has axes above 40 i want to hear what you have to say

It is always a question of balance. No one could tell you that a 1h euro build is better than a dual axes and no one could tell you that a dual axes is better than a 2h.

This balance is already set in, it is not a questionable balance, it is not a fictitious balance, it a real one. 1h has a lot of defense, but poor attack, axes has less defense but strong attacks than 1h, 2h has little defense and very slow attack speed but higher damage.

Overall, the balance is reached between different euro builds.

I use to have a dual axes over 40 but I don't play it anymore because of the huge problem it is to solo grind euro warriors. Being a level 50 cleric now, easily able to help a 2h guy survive against yetis, that is awesome power of freedom of also being able to easily solo PG ishade if I wanted to (just last night, we work almost always as cleric-wizard 2 people team or cleric-wizard-warrior 3 people team, our warrior died and dc. While he was dc'ed, I was simply standing around and getting hit by this ishade party giant so he'd get the exp when he'd get back to us, I took at the damage very easily.).

Oh and none of my builds are power leveled, botted or otherwise. They are all 100% clean, hand grinded.

i'll remember that when i vote for president :P

dual axes are sort of a lame build IMO...they just die so easily..whether it is solo grinding or pvp.

Well abut pvp; I saw a lv 75 axe char pvp yesterday with a lv 80 blader.

The axe attacked first, stunned the blader, and after a bunch of combo's followed by a few nice crits the blader died. It still took some time though.

Next round the axe failed to stun it time, got kd'd and died.

I'll have to say I'm sorry but you are wrong, dual axes is a powerful build, as much as 1h and as much as 2h. That is a set balance in the game, there is no dominance of one build over another.

The difference is how the build and built and who is behind it.

Same level builds are -totally- equal and balanced.

So no, dual axes are not at all lame, they take as much damage as other euro builds for their own builds, they are lethal against any other euro build, this includes 1h and 2h.

ya, thats basicly been my argument about them, they do good damage and fast combos, and have extra defense not equal to a sheild and sheild passives, but good defense. I personally see them do better all the time below 40, and my own warrior that had axes did alot better then the other 2, now i know i didn' give my 1 handed enough time to bloom, just i've been hearing about how much axes suck, mainly from braotix for some reason, when i've seen them do great things, and are better for parties then 1 hand and greatsword, but i havn't gone out past to hotan yet and seen them, i'm close to getting there on mercury with my wizzard though, could probally kill the stuff out there, i can almost 1 hit the rock golems but then again i still don't have the defense to live out there yet very well

I have 41 lvl axe char. Yes, I Cant owned dagger or Xbow. But I realy owned 2h sword. But a lot of pvp against other warrior just finish in equal(=). Dont fight a lot, so can;t say more. I like Axe build, but... Now I have just 1 long time buff on my self, but i dont use it, u know "vital increase"(hp increase), but reduce dmg. But axe build have nice passive skill. I hope I will be more powerful in future.
But i agree with ppl topic on top, about balance, so....

Its just that 1h sword becomes stronger in the long run, with all its push back moves and dulling. Two hand axex are good, but heres why I think that the other two are good. 1h has the knockback with the sheilds, that makes them dull. With that, they are weaker and slower, and at higher lvls, they have some good combos.

2h is just basically a damage dealer, thats really all about it. They also have knock back and knock down, and when knocked down you only chance is a good br sheild.

Axex, from what I have seen, only have stun. Now, with that they can win, but remember, stun isnt that high of a chance of it happening everytime.

My 2 cents

I like axe ^^ nice combos and stuff, I use axe if i ever have to fight a 1hs. It's not the build that
sucks after lvl40
its the people who suck. I'm 2hs/axe 2hs to take out axes and other 2hs, axe for killing 1hs unless the 1hs uses ironskin if so i'd just go with 2hs cause with ironskin, kd and bash is only thing that works. Axe is nice atk speed getting as many hits in as possible, 2hs is good damage but if 1hs blocks my maddening or bash im pretty much screwed unless i am useing ironskin.

P.S. on a side note whatever build you are always have a Cleric with you and your ok in pvp ^^. Cause I do.

lol you rely on iron skin
what happens if someone nukes you for 20k and you die then you have to wait the forever-long cooldown for any fuckin warrior skill.

pvping with a team or jobbing with a team is perfectly legitimate, but when your team are non combatants then its cheating

in a 1v1 fight agaisnt a int i wouldn't use ironskin I would try to get maddening in as fast as possible, and I said I'd only use iron skin if the 1hs uses it, if not axe all the way. in a group fight its only natural to take out the ints first.
