how common do SOS drops get?

This past week I've had more cool drops than the past 16 months I've played altogether! I've had 2 sos +4 shield drops, 2 som drops, a +4 spear drop, a +3 sword drop and a +4 shield drop.

3k players on each server
about 1500 of 24/7 grinders
and about 1500 6hours grinders

who shall win and make the sos drops less common for us? go pay a visit to your server gold company stall from time to time and enjoy the shine and the cheap prices.
but even with all those 24/7 grinders sos drops are rare or anyone would be running with sos items after a year or 2 of a server age.

That sounds like bull. Farmed three months in the bandit den with an AMAZING item droprate, and no sos at all.

No bull here, I NEVER got sox drops like this, just the rare crappy sos. My very first som was a lvl 1 female armor chest. It was crappy for som but it sold anyway. I'm gonna keep the shields and have sold most of the rest.

theres so many players, even if you were to kill 50 monsters at once, there could be a person kill one in the half of that time, and i heard this from my friend who did some pk2 and packet research on the game a couple years ago, i dont know if they changed the ratio or not

the odds of a sos or som or sosun drop are conducted under server wide drop ratio, actually, a sos is dropped every 50kills in the server so the 50th kill you gain the sos, so a sos is found a lot actually and then som is 100, and sosun is 150

Find that way too high.

By those #'s the 1500 or so mobs i kill during my tick = 30 sos, 15 som, and 10 sun for the server.

Lol if i was pumping over 50 sox items into the server a day for the almost year ive played that would mean i have put over 20k sox on the server :roll:

what about the 24/7 bots gettin 10-15k kills a day?

maybe im misunderstanding what your trying to explain but if u think a sos is droppin every 50 kills your insane

i find it really hard 2 believe that a sosun would drop every 150 kills, if that were true. if there are about 2000+ people actually grind at any givin time, sosuns would drop every 10-15 secs.

Found 2 SoX, lvl 1 prot sos and lvl 24 som glaive. Lost the 24 SOM to some beggar... he traded me when I though tmy friend was trading me to up my glaive lol... wasn't paying attention to who was trading. So now no more chinese char for me... after 1 month of grinding the lvl 16 to 10k sxp lol... maybe maybe some day I'll go back and play it.

and they could be, but you don't know who's getting them so you can do a statistics measurement cuz theres a bunch of n00bs who like to be an A$$

my best sos drop was a 32+3 spear with +2int and 83% mag damage

I'm lvl 75 and been playing on Venice since may/june of 06 and not 1 Sox item... The best drop I've gotten was a 56 shield with BR 19 but then alchemy turned that into shit...

lv 21, i found a SOS off a Earth Ghost drop.

it seems that most people i know get sos drops from Earth Ghosts.

i've asked around an a few servers and the most common monster that drops a SoS is a...... Earth Ghost. Just what i came to realize. i could be wrong and most likely am
