They have 1 major spell, that's it, that's all, you call variety? The others are minor spells, like temp invisibility, masks and shit like that.
Want variety, warlock, heap of spells, wizard, heap of spells.
I won't go for either of those, I'm partial to dual axes myself. But variety is sure not a word I'd use for rogues.

Basing it on my experience on CSRO, I'm sorry to tell you it's not the case. If you xbow, you'll pretty much use 1 spell, might have something better after 30 and might only add on spells but you pretty much hit the 1 key all the time.
As far daggers, again, nothing at all more than a warrior, pretty lame looking spells actually.
I find the greatest variety is warlock, funny looking spells, interesting. Cleric has a few interesting looking spells after 30 and 40 but... well... lame looking otherwise.
Now, the prettiest one, the one I just won't play on a regular basis is the bard.
But, I could be bias, I tried all builds and went full circle back to dual axes which is my very favorite. I do not want to under emphasize the masks, they do look neat and fun, I mean, just walk around as a closier, it's kind of awesome and the lions are WAY faster than horses, a VERY great mask to have if you want to pursue an enemy or run away from one, there might even be faster animals than lions out there.
Oh.. you're totally right about dual axes spells... it blows.. very boring. But I love it, duno how or why, I just guessed I could have been a ax murderer in another life, yeah murdering axes! (sorry couldn't resist that one).
And yeah, no matter what any thinks, including myself, just be what you want to be
Getting europe exp is not that hard so if you make a mistake, you can start a new build in no time.
And my experience is strictly limited to csro not ksro.
Those kokuro's have awesome speed, it's a real grave yard for newbies in Samarkand, anyone without the proper level zigzags and hopes for the best cause if one of those colorful turkeys locks on you, chances are your horse is cooked in 1 blow and you're next.
