Regarding July 20 "SERVER INSPECTION" incident
Many poeple i believe are experiencing "server inspection" for at least 48 hours since july 20. At the beginning i thought its my network problem i called my internet provider they said they received some reports regarding people not being able to run the SRO client, more than that they cannot even browse sro website. Most of them are from USA/Canada, whats going to with joymax?? My internet provider test http://www.silkroadonline.net , they cannot access into it too. Did Joymax block all the N.America access??
I have another korean online game too, SAME problem with ISRO... whats the heck with Korean??

You don't need the IP address for the actual server.
I'll see what I can do...
Edit:
Open your host file with notepad. Located at "C:/WINDOWS/System32/drivers/etc/host".
It should look something like this:
Add this to the end of the file (below the localhost entry):
Hopefully that will allow you to connect. Remember if this IP address ever changes again you'll have to edit the file again.

Code: Select all
# Copyright (c) 1993-2006 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.

# For example:

# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

I've tried that several times it might work for some people, but most of the times it does not solve the problem.

If you ping http://www.silkroadonline.net what is the return IP address? Is it different from the one posted above?
If so then there is a DNS replication/cache issue within your ISP's DNS servers.
They could be possibly not clearing there dns caches often enough, or getting information from a bad server. I'm not sure, but entering the hostname into your hosts file will resolve the problem. Your PC by default checks the hosts file first before contacting your DNS server.

By the way, what is your ISP's name?
Can you please go to Start -> Run -> type CMD
Black box will open, type ipconfig/all and tell me the IP address of DHCP server so I can see whats going on?
