Honestly i hope it stays like this, JOYMAX was really smart. They decided they wont ban bots. Or else they would lose money(chargeback) so they just made it that they can BLOCK the bot program, this will fix our economy cause it stops GOLD bots as well. This will remove a major stress outta JM.

Not banning bots will completely put off the fully legit players. whether it was a smart move(financially) or not depends on which group buys more silk, bot players or legit players. Since that info is not privy to us, i wont comment on whether it was a smart move or not. i can only say i belong to the former group, so this has pushed me 1 more step closer to leaving this game.

When theres gold bots, people whine and complain. Joymax forces everyone to go legit people still cry and complain. (Not 100% Sure Yet) Not trying to flame, but what else can you ask for? This is gonna help our economy by 100% if it works out. By stopping gold bots that means theres less server traffic and less people complaining about "grinding".

The solution to the bot problem has always been 2-pronged
1. Ban bots
2. Fix your client regularly so that bots can no longer operate
Blocking bots from working is only part of the solution. you cannot have a complete bot solution without having a punishment part to it. there must be deterrence. sooner or later the bot makers will find a workaround to the client and the problem will come up again.
Yes, of course this latest blocking of bot operation is good. certainly it eases up traffic for a few weeks maybe. But it does not escape the fact that botters that have been at it for MONTHS are going to get away with it. And this has more to do with the incompetence and inability of joymax in identifying botters rather than a deliberate decision to not ban them.
Simply put, it is not that joymax deliberately doesnt want to ban botters, they simply cant because they have no idea who has been botting all these months.
I dont usually bitch about the botting issue. just look at my post history. its been going on for so long, i already numb. but the latest hoo-haa in joymax's own words 'Massive Bot Ban' really just doesnt live up to its hype.

They need to do this crap like.. twice a week for it to be effective at all.
Your mom bots?
yup. She's a n00b.
She cant even pvp properly because she doesn't know how to use her char.

oh god. if my mom played she would be one of those annoying full sosun gold buyers who globals all day about how awesome they are and kill yarken every time he spawns for 2 months in a row just to prove it.

ANYHOW.
I'm so glad they fixed this problem. Couldn't give a damn if the bots werent banned, they won't play because they can't stand the grind anyhow.

Starting Fresh.
