Warlock Magic damage based on INT?
Warlock Magic damage based on INT?
im wondering if the curses you put on people are based on how much INT you've got.
so far it sounds like "puts poisoning curse on enemy which does X amount of damage over time"
and doesnt sound like that damage is increased if youve got more int.
so is it absolute damage? i know there are skills which are entirely magic based, im not concerned about those.
just wondering if a pure str warlock would work, just stuning and weakening the person to death.

uhh
uhh i dont believe its absolute, because ive seen the pics/vids of the curses doing over like 600+ per second, where in the first place the curse does under 700 damage over 12 seconds so its enhanced soem how. but im really not sure
A warlock's skills are magic so the more in you have the more damage you will do every tick.
So lets say a pure str warlock did an attack that ticked three times for
230+230+230 = 690
So three ticks did a total of 690 damage over time but a pure int warlock did the same attack and hes the same level doing
1020+1020+1020=3060 over time. So yeah... You can try a pure str warlock if you want. I don't know if you'd like it as much as a pure int.

i love ur sig and yea warlocks are magical based but if i was you i would put 2 points in int and 1 point in str so you dont have hyper low hitpoints

wow really?
Noo way1!!1
Think about it MR, a hybrid spear gets extra health and can deal more damage with physical attacks.
A hybrid warlock would only get extra health and no other benefit.

no.
wait.
hybrids will suck, the entire point of euro is to have pure builds, thats why weapons only have one kind of damage on them (either magic or physical)
but also, the d.o.t. skills will inflict status effects like poison/burn which are not effected by int, and also the warlock has a bunch of set damage skills (like this one where it does damage if you step inside a certain radius, or the life steal) and those arent based on int either. i think a funny build would be warlock, pure str, but also have warrior as sub-class. cast stun, poison, burn, lower enemy defense, switch weapons and then go at it.
also you would be able to wear full heavy armor.

Doing hybrids will only get you a certain amount of another stat, but it will never work out as an advantage in attack powers, as Melee weapons are ONLY physical attack and Magical weapons have ONLY Magical attack. Unlike the chinese which has both attacks.
One-Handed Sword - Only Physical
Two Handed Sword - Only Physical
Dual Axe - Only Physical
Daggers - Only Physical
Crossbow - Only Physical
With physical weapons you cannot cast magic, or do nukes or whatever, you are restricted to using the skills that are meant for the weapon.
Warlock Rod - Only Magical Attack
Wizard Staff - Only Magical Attack
Cleric Rod - Only Magical Attack
Harp - Only Magical Attack
With Magical weapons you can only use magical attacks, and have no physical powers whatsoever.

full int sounds good..but I just can't stand to have a full int char with low hp even with alchamy i'd prefer to have some extra hp so i guess i'd go hybrid for the hp maybe not alot but enough to have decent hp.

you wouldnt be able to kill anything, and you wouldnt even be able to heal yourself that well.MrFudge wrote:im just thinking pure str warlock cuz i want cleric as main and im only concerned about not dying.
pure str cleric heal myself and use warlock shit on other people and just heal myself constantly, i just never wanna die lol.
tahts the only reason i made this topic.
you would have 10 magic attack when everyone else has 2500.
