Well I have become a little even more pissed at the Bot Problem
(Yes another bot Thread..But with a different meaning)

I was wondering if the Bug Report Feature on the Main site actually works when you report bots with Screenshots.

Well today I have submitted a report on about 5 Major bots in Talka by the Mages and Shamans where I grind.
The test is to see if and how long it will take for these bots to vanish off the face of SRO. If it was permitted I would have posted the Screenies I took showing how to get Evidence in a Bot report screenshot.

Instead these are two things I looked for when I took a screenshot:-

a) Humping walls, This is the ultimate screenshot. Take 3-4 pics of the bot humping a wall at different angles. Catch the movement of the hump, (the upstroke rofl)

b) Message the Bot a couple of times, Showing no reply, and take a Pic.

If there are any other ways to tell a bot by a screenshot please tell me, but this is what I look for.

Everyone complains about bots, but do you report them. We post pics on SRF everyday, its the same process, Take the screenie, upload it to tinypic or imageshack. And just go to the bug report section and do this :-

Server
Bot1 - Humping Walls, Has a Grind pattern, no reply to messages.

So I just need the members of SRF to help me out and say when you reported the bots in your area that you grind, and if and how long it took for them to vanish lol.
We will see eventually if reporting bots works.
You cant expect something and do nothing.

And Mods, there is no need to ban this, but Im letting everyone know....please do not post screen shots of the bots on SRF!!

LoL do it like vitamin tablets, one a day, or do an overdose once in a while lol. But I'm sure there are other legits grinding in your area that can report some too.

No point of reporting bots since even if they get baned ne ones will come into their free place. See huge bot bans, more bot than before. image verification should be implemented ingame also, that would kill gold bots at least

the only bot5 I remember that got banned from reporting was duck_head I think, or one of the ducks, somoene posted a similar topic to this but it was like "everyone report this bot and see if they goet banned" and they did lol.

Well it takes time for the bots to get back up to where they were, if a level 70 bot got banned it cant come back and be level 70 in one day.

You are taking it from the point of view that its only going to be you reporting the bots in your area. It should be everyone reporting them when they see them.

Everyone just complains and never tries anything other than the usual bot murder status trick that doesn't work much anymore and the lightning thief trick to get rid of them for 1 minute. Suck it up and report a bot!

Joymax don't care about botters.... they set up their Bug Report to filter out every Bug Report with the keyboard "bot" in it. Common sense people

what about server for just bots.......were never going to get rid of them so maybe just let them bot but they have to use the bot only server lol im so dumb

I can already tell you the results of your hard work: Nothing.

I know this from experience. I've been using the Bug Report system to report bots since Joymax said to do so, and more frequently recently. What Joymax originally said was to simply write down the botter's name and server and send it through the bug report.

Needless to say, countless bots have been reported by me, very few have been banned. Even gold bots get through. I've even tried going beyond what Joymax said and even sent evidence (see my sig, for example; yes, he still plays even after about 6 reports on him). Even with screenshots of people admitting to botting, admitting to gold buy, people humping walls and rocks, Joymax simply will not ban them. Period.

Well I will still be reporting them, doesnt take much time to do it.
Will go in game later and see if the 24/7 botters are still there.

I also used to report bots by the dozen... USED TO. But to no avail it never seem to work not even 1 of them got banned.

silk = no ban

no silk + bot = ban (probably)

Take 3 pictures. I passed a bot 3 times in like 5 minutes, stuck in the same place. You can use the chat box as an indication of time gone by, or change in sp and exp bar, or just take pics from different angles of the stuck bot. Simple....

Her character got stuck on the side of the building and started "humping" it as I continued to walk away. It continued to do so until I came back to the point where she could trace me properly.

Perhaps in that time, another player might have seen her, took some screenshots and sent in a report to Joymax. Just because a player is "humping" something doesn't mean they're botting. That situation is a bit less likely to happen out on a grind, but I'm just saying, a few screenshots won't prove anything. Video may be better perhaps...

Humping and no reply...mostlikely a bot, i dont think they ban a person willy nilly jus on a ss, i think they actually investigate the persons movements ingame.

Probably some people who were reported dont get banned cuz they returned by then to the comp and start playing themselves...noone thought of that huh

Humping and no reply...mostlikely a bot, i dont think they ban a person willy nilly jus on a ss, i think they actually investigate the persons movements ingame.

Just alot of negativity ya get from some people toward this "sensitive" topic. When its really just too simple.

All this thread is about is to test and see when people report bots, if and when they get banned.
The GM's said on tha main site to post a screenshot along with name and some details about the bot you are reporting. I just stated how I believe screenshots can identify a bot.
Im just testing this out and I wanted help...geez.

PMing the person won't always help. In my wife's case, she put me on trace and went afk. So if you PMed her, you wouldn't get a response and you would turn around and report her.

Thats why joymax does their own investigations, and would come on and check and see if the person is really botting or if it was just mistaken identity of a botter.
