Isn't botting in a internet cafe with everyone around is sorta...odd?
No, one would set up the bot and browse the internet.
Its been done before. I've seen people bot on diablo 2 at an internet cafe.

Better not play in an internet cafe, cause by default all internet cafes have keyloggers (for their security :S) which are exploitable. You can easily change your ip if you have dynamic ip, or if you use an open proxy :/. Oh gosh I digress, yes they get account ban.

90% gold farming is done on cafe like environment =] try to ask google help for some video.. ill be glad to post link of said articles of gold farming with video on it if requested but u can get it on google anyways if you have time =]
90% of gold farming is done by computers back-doored by trojans that run the game purely in binary, unbeknownst to the host. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of bots on each server, operating on 20+ servers. If you do the numbers, you realize there's no way these bots are operated manually.
As for avoiding those who change their IPs (if Joymax were to ban by IP), banning by MAC address avoids this problem. If Joymax were to be serious about their so-called "war against the bots," they would do this. But Joymax makes a handsome profit from botters, so this will not happen.

hmmm? like zombies right? POSIBLE but.. i dont think bot programers have come to this point.. if yes its f***** crazy.....
PS: try to observ at DW B**** area and JG G****** you will see 20 - 45 character standing there 24hrs and from time to time some character with the name of qwerqwer1 and qwerqwer2 go near him and after 5-15sec go away and take note they are falling in lines

google it...ps.I have a sudden urge to suck for some milk...
Yes, maybe you should use Google.
1. It's easy to get a backdoor onto someone's computer.
2. It's not hard to code a program that will run the game in the background.
zombies/slaves are probable.
but it could be:
the companies themselves. image 20 mid spec. pc's
they could handle about 5-10 sro clients (on low gfx) if they multi cliented.
thats how many bots they could be running per place. etc etc
