Yeah if you do the GM modify, but changing something like your armor and weapon very very unlikely to get banned since atm they have nothing to see what your seeing

The only problem MD said wrong with pk moding was changing it to 9th deg and that was it, nothing else more about it. Then there was a post a while back talking about someone got baned for pk moding although I never saw proof >.>. I have a pk edit for chat filter, I havn't been baned yet I doubt i will or even worry about it, if i'm getting baned for my entertainment when it doesn't cause problems, when there not banning people that actualy do cause problems then imo joymax is stupid..

What is the purpose editing the chat filter, are you saying that if you curse and it doesn't get blocked on your side it goes thru? Did MD say why they cared about 9th degree items, shouldn't they care about pink monsters and stuff like that?

2. She made up some bull shit about if your using 9th deg it's detected as using a 3rd party programme so you might be baned as using one *i.e. bot*
3. No they can't see all these mobs we modified they can only see when we curse as for detecting it, i'd doubt they care and same goes for the 9th deg thing what she said on the forums that time was to me a bunch of crap like 9th deg could be detected as 3rd party software when the ycan't see it/game guard isn't even up *don't let that loading thing fool you it's not there*

Actually, u can get banned, and i know some people who have been... what Pk2 modding does is altering the original codes, which is in violation with the terms of use...
So if u do get into PK2 modding, be on your guard, since they can ban u for it

I think either morningdew worded her response wrong, or you (and others) misunderstood it. She didn't mean that specifically changing to 9th degree would be seen as 3rd party software. 9th degree was the only (or at least most popular) change at the time. ANY pk2 mod is actually making changes to client-side software files. That is against Joymax's terms of use and could get you a ban if it is detected. Morningdew just mentioned 9th degree because that was the main change people were doing.

If they put in any anti-bot software in the future, or fully implement game guard, it might detect these changes and result in a ban. A change is a change. Doesn't matter (to the anti-bot software) if you open 9th degree or if you change the grass to pink.

do the math
3 000 000 accounts -----> 19 servers -----> 3000 + - cap

19 x 3000 = 57 000 free spots to play on 3 milion + account :|
Even if the bann 50 k account ... even if 2 milion of the other players ( accounts ) quit the game ... you still will have crowded servers .... cus like the account will still me 10 times more than the free spots

If they can't successfully ban botters, I highly doubt they ban Pk editors. Until I see a screen shot saying you have been banned for 100 years for Pk edit, I am going to assume this is rumor and most likely an excuse used by others who have been banned for other reasons.

What Prometheus says makes sense. I doubt they really care about what you see. They would be looking for any modifications and may not distinguish between harmless and harmful changes. They COULD easily detect and ban, but they don't. Not yet.

im getting really tired of EVERYONE COMPLAINING OVER AND OVER AGAIN that they cant ban bots at all. but did i just miss something? didnt they just ban 30,000 bots?!?!?!?!

dont say there all gold bots or non silk buyers cuz thats bullshit.

if they banned all the bots, they lose 80% profit, now what good is that?

pk2 editing is against the joymax terms of use or watever, and if they actually fix gameguard you will start seeing some bans popping up.
