Yes, when Item Mall opened.

Didn't last long, tough many of my guildies bought several items for gold. I was on a forced break when it happened. We changed servers later but still...

why you guys so surprised by spam bots? its not like some uber 1337 bot that pwns everything in his way or a hack
its just another lame spamming program every MMO have those a-hole

just ignore them you cant do anything about it so is JM there always will be a new spam bot that sits in town and spams 24/7

man when you guys will stop making pointless topics about this crap

So, just out of curiosity, what does blacking out the address do? I mean, we've all been in game....does it solve anything? Does it....chance anything?

Was there a point?

Turn off chat setting in options and you wont see any of those messages

he's like doing those "propreitary" (sp?) stuff. no need to fuss about why he blacked it out. it's teh ethical thing to do.

JM from my end can't just ban them IMO. all their really doing is chatting. it's not a bannable offense in itself. however on the other hand, it kinda disrupts the an essential part of the game, like potion merchant oxing. JM should be more proactive in reforming their policies to maintain balance and harmony. the game is evolving too fast, they should catch up.

Agreed. These spammers do interfere with the game. People used to use all chat, and even globals, to advertise things they have for sale in game. If there are too many spammers, it floods out the chat.

As for blackening out the address, it was a good idea to do that. Sure, we've all seen the address in game, but posting it here could be seen as spamming or advertising illegal sites by the mods possibly. Better to play it safe, remove the address, and escape a possible ban (well more likely an edit, or deleted thread than a ban I'd think...).
