Questions about the updated version

Hi ,

I'm playing the old SRO version (European SRO) .. and i kind of got bored with it ..

- Is there any way that i could play the updated version which is the kSRO (Version !) .. in English language !

- Will these updates ever BE in the European SRO ?

- What is cSRO and vSRO ?

- What is (pk2) File ,, and why do i need to edit it (i have seen alot of guides on how to edit it) and i don't understand why !



- am i asking too many questions

The search button is your best friend. But short of that....

You're probably playing iSRO as in _International_ SRO. You can call it English SRO but definitely not Euro SRO b/c that refers to the euro expansion in KSRO. The only way to play KSRO in english is to edit your PK2 files. (And have a KSSN to register).

Eventually...probably before the sun novas.

Chinese and Vietnamese SRO. They have separate gaming companies that manage these versions and are localized to these countries.

You only want to edit it if you want to do (1) or if you want to change the appearances on models. Its only graphical changes...nothing related to gameplay.

csro - Chinese SRO
vSRO - Vietnam SRO

Under c:\program files\silkroad .. u have couple of pk2 files. These files are edited .. jus 2 b cranky .. well no one else will b able to c te change other than u .. unless u get a video or screen shot and show it to us.

The other big PK2 guide is a sticky in the Guides & Tutorials Forum (A good place for you to check out)

KSSN = Korean Social Security Number.

KSRO is the most updated since it was the "native" version of sro.

And you can probably chat in English in KSRO, but I think if the GM suspect your not from Korea you're gonna get banned.
