If it did go pay to play they wont do anything to the game other than making you spend even more money on the game. At a point people will stop paying to play, like all the lvl 80s since they game is becoming boring. Now all the people grinding, well you pay for the game to play, buy a ticket for faster grinding, buy a monkey for picking stuff up. Well guess you need astral and imm to +5 weapons unless you have lots of gold. A global would be nice.

lol People wont spend that extral money to play.

how come no one has mentioned yet the binding fact that the game is "free forever"?

played WoW with the 10 day pass and guess what? first thing i saw was a dwarf humping a wall. WoW has gold grinders, power levelers, hackers and as mentioned above bots. i might have not played that much as the next guy, but the first impression it gave said it all for me. GW has thier own gold farmers. heck, i even saw 9dragons having their own power leveling services. what's next? 2moons? so if the basis for this game to be p2p are the things that i just mentioned other MMO's do, not to be pessimistic, but that's gonna be a dissapointment. MMO's are just too big to be expect to be a perfect world. whiners are still important though. just play the game however yuo want it to play. important is for you to have fun.
i'm a grateful grape

I actually did that thing in Mixmax's Sig!

satman83 wrote:Know i now this will be unpopular with some and a few idiots will even
report me to the mods for writing this (babies  ). But if this
game is ever going to reach its full potention then its has to be P2P.

The main problem here is the games largest user groups (10-16 year olds)
(Not all people within this age group (10-16) are bad players some
are my firends and are ok people, but the sad thing is most of them
the ones who come on to thise forum and flame someone like a retard
within their first post..our)

and idiotic and extremly stupid, they belive that there always right and
that when something happens to them its the end of the world...oh
and to justify people they know botting they assume that everyone
else is botting or they make up insane and stupid theories that make
no sence...(doesnt matter just so long that there right and in controll  ) .
They also waste time writing the most awful and idiotic global chats and
play this game like they act in really life. there selfish, arogant and can
ever be wrong...oh and when ever they are wrong normaly reply with
the oh so wity responce of "muahahahha" or "go f**k your gay dad"

Also going P2P will also mean and end of item mail and with money
in, finaly bots can be banned and we can stop getting stupid comments.
I mean if its not JM making millions from bots who buy silk  or
bribes to unban bots then its something else.
hopefully this game will one day become Pay to play...which will lead
to an improvement of services (end of item mail) and as it becomes
pay to play all the kids cant afford it and as such will leave....morons
find it funny ...saying things along the lines of (muhahahah your old
and a loser) when they find out that your over 18  . when ironicly
most people who play computer games or even MMO's are on average
aged 18-26. So if it meant paying for this game then the anoying kids
of course woundnt be able to pay for it and would then leave.

Also with a steady income then JM will stop there idiotic short gap messure
of throwing us new servers, which doesnt help at all (makes problems
worse). and improve the ones they have now. Also would help if the
GM's were online...its more akin to someone opening up an arcade and
having no members of staff just letting everyone run lose and do what
they want to do.

Know i understand that some people will reply saying that it wont work
or calling me stupid angrily (like most children do when they hear
something they dont like ). But as a free 2 play game. SRO is a joke
oh and those who would leave if it was P2P then please be my guest and
leave...because as a game that you pay for monthly, then things would
improve. what makes me laugh is that as a free game i dont and either
can anyone else expect any changes, i mean we dont give JM anything
in return and seeing how its free its not like they would lose anything.

lol... this is a GAME, a COMPUTER GAME. IMO games are for kids. This game aint becuase u cant pay silk with wallycard or something, all payment options are 18+.

Stil, age 18+ should be studying / working. Just remove the age 10/11/12. 13/14/15/16 is OK i think, most of them know enough to start playing games.

I never play ANY mmo's that are pay to play. I remember back when rose online went p2p, I loved that mmo and I was so pissed when it happened. Besides, making it pay to play won't help the bots any; all the friends I have that play WoW bot and they've never been banned, and the economy is just as screwed up by all the chinese gold farmers in that game. Just cause Joymax would get more money doesn't mean they'd make an effort to do anything differently.

I see people complaining about this game all day.
IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS GAME QUIT IT!

you dont wana? cause its addiciting? EVEN IF ITS ADDICTING QUIT IF YOUR UNHAPPY WITH THIS GAME.

We all figured joymax only cares for money, and they accept anyway that gives them profit. I even figured joymax works together with the bot companies, they get earn money if some1 buys a bot card.

Joymax does not care about your complaints, and this game will most likely never go P2P. Joymax doesnt care about bots, hacks, annoying retards, ksers, long login time, the endless grinding etc etc

all they care about is how to intend their players on buying from the item mall. the botters wont leave in 12million years. the login times will never change and retards will never leave this game either. joymax wont fix our problems that the gameplay shows us even if we gave them 1million dollar

WE ALL FIGURED THIS!!!!!

unhappy still?

THEN QUIT AND STOP ANNOYING THIS FORUM WITH POSTS THAT U GUYS MAKE OVER AND OVER AGAIN WE ALL KNOW THIS ALWAYS ENDS UP IN PEOPLE COMPLAINING THE SHIT OUT OF THEIR BUTTS

so stop complaining or quit.

botters wouldnt make profit from botting from 1-80 and selling their chars
kiddies wouldnt run rampant yelling "muahaha" lil rimmer said and we should get servers for regions like for north america/maybe england, some for eastern europe and so on
ppl would be more pleased by that cuz i know all u ppl against racism get annoyed by ppl spamming u in some language u can even understand.
"is this guy cursing me or wants to buy my sos?"
and we'll be able to login alot easier maybe anytime of the day.
it'll be like ksro, there will still be bots but not a big a problem as it is in isro

i agree with you on the secod bit, maybe JM can learn something about servers form runescape

although i certainly wouldnt play if it went p2p

if it where to be boight on disc, such as guildwars, then yes i would play, £20 is a good fee for a game

but wow u have to buy the game and pay £120 a year to play, and if you quit WoW think of the money youve wasted

if you quit SRO, you do not have to worry, it was your choice if you buohg t silk, gold etc

satman83, where you get your stats from??? Who said the largest group of players are 10 to 16 yr olds. I like to see some reference if you don't mind posting.

Actually, a research study was done on MMORPG games in general and the avg. age of users were 27 (between 13-34). Here's the link:
http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=6582

Also, what's with the assumption that all young people are retarded. That's a pretty retarded comment! A retarded person that make up false stats, is not at a position to call other people retarded.

And another thing, there is such thing as time zones, people. So, when you're sneeking out to play online games during office or school hours, it might be at night for someone else!

SRO going p2p would put it in competition with GW and WoW...
And did p2p stop WoW from having Barren's chat? No... That chat is full of immature, gross, prejudice, antisemitistic, racist, etc. chat... mostly full of both adults and adolescents. It's not the age that matters, it's the people...

ok WoW is a P2P and grindfest....and that does work Rolling Eyes . and like i
said if people quit, its those who cant afford to pay (i.e those who are
underage). oh and GW when it first came out..people did try to bot it
peopel still do, but bots are deleted right away and those people IP address and
e-mails are banned

ok first off your wrong, WoW is a quest fest, not a grind fest. 2nd. The only reason most other MMORPG's dont have bots as a long term problem is because they ban by the ip not just accounts. So going p2p doesnt mean shit. WoW has lots of botters, but that doesnt mean that they dont get banned pretty quickly. And that inpart is only because they have a much large support network than SRO. Why you might ask? Because Blizzard is a huge company compared to Joymax. Going p2p wouldnt deture botters, only the legit players who dont want to pay for the game, botters pay for bots why wouldnt they pay for the game? Paying for a bot you mind as well pay for the game imo. The only way to prevent botters is to IP ban,and implement a program like the one Blizzard runs and also maybe incorperate a .ddl injection/ proxy disabling program, as thats how most of the bots bypass GG. Also they need to fix the fact that you can loop GG on itself so that when it goes to do an update its only grabbing the old files hosted on a proxy by the bot user community. Which is a simple fix. Make GG send out packets at random intervals with a time stamp on them to and from the client/server if this is done you cant loop back GG on itself.

So in short, P2P isnt the answer its just a cheap excuse and a way to vent how bout SRO has become. Only the things I listed in my post can help SRO currently, as well as other things that I might not have listed, but P2P is in no way shape or form going to stop botters period. You would have more legits leaving than you would have botters. /End rant.

Its funny how you complain about 10-16 year olds flaming, but then you had a lot of flaming phrases such as:

within their first post..our)

Aren't you flaming the majority of 10-16 year olds?
and idiotic and extremly stupid, they belive that there always right
And you dont believe you're right, when, for example, you are stating this theory of yours to everyone?
they make up insane and stupid theories that make
no sence...(doesnt matter just so long that there right and in controll ) .

Isn't this kind of an insane theory? If JM is making mounds of money by being f2p, why on earth would they ever consider going p2p? Have you ever considered how many iSRO players buy silk? If even a small percentage of the people buying gt and monkey ($18 a month) are buying astrals and immortals, the company is rolling in dough. However, increased earnings may not correlate directly with an increased number of employees, and thereby better service, as we have seen.

as it becomes
pay to play all the kids cant afford it and as such will leave.

There are tons of kids who play WoW....
Well those are my thoughts. :)

@ iSteal and all other people who say to stop complaining:

If people on this forum didnt complain do you think that some of the people who got unbanned for botting would have gotten rebanned? I dont think so. They were rebanned because of b1tchy people like me and 80% of SRF who, due to a nice little post with a screenie detailing how those 3 people in question were going to get unbanned even though they were botters. Thus, the b1tchy people of SRF sent bug reports to JM and got them banned for good. Thus why dont you, the none b1tcher STFU and GTFO if people dont b1tch about issues they never get solved. + This is a forum, discussion is allowed, rather it be why should is in trouble, or why it should/shouldnt go p2p. Read the defination of a forum you trolls and please do us all a favor. Dont tell us not to complain if you are going to complain about our posts. That is what you call being a hypocrit. gg trollets. /end rant

Aha...but thus you're complaining about my "b1tchy" post. Yes you finally recongnize that this is a FREE forum...telling you that it SHOULD or SHOULD NOT be p2p is an OPINION. I am able to complain about this crap because it is an OPINION...not some shitty "fact" that you described.

Dude that wasnt the point of the post I made go re-read it. You always tell people not to complain? Complaining is what gets things fixed is the root of what I was getting at. Taking bits and pieces of my arguement and putting them up in your post is a lame attempt to de-rail what I said. While this is a free forum, people who tell others not to complain are morons. If people didnt complain the unbanned botters of xian, Llello, grusome_ and heroooooo wouldnt have been rebanned because no one would have complained. People who complain (reguardless if its annoying or not) get shit done, whilst people like you who say not to complain mind as well support all the problems in SRO. Now next time you try to derail my post actually take the time to read past your own name in it.

As long as there are lazy people there will be bots.
As long as people are willing to buy gold there will be bots. (Gold bots are the worst source of the bot problem IMO)
And as long as SRO infested with bots, SRO will suck.

The only solution to the bot problem is better support from JM, and P2P does NOT mean there will be better support. Even if SRO were P2P, people would still be willing to buy gold thus servers will still be infested with gold bots. Tibet didn't have too much of problem with gold bots when I first started, but since I've started to see 3 or 4 new gold sites being spammed in town, it seems that the number of bots have increased exponentially. Sure going P2P would help you login easier, but only at the cost of less players and still the same amount of bots. Sorry to burst your bubble.

SRO is a video game. Video games are played by children. Expect annoying kids. All you can do is put up with them. Everyone gets pwned by a 12 year old at one point in this game.

I've been up for 32 hours now. i should go to sleep

fixed payments from players.

please if your going to post dont contriditc yourself and at least back
your points up ok, dont just take wild guesses and make stuff up. oh
and if you read my first post i said that with money they CAN improve things not that thwy would.
