Supposedly there is a screenshot floating around of a GM saying the max is +255. That would make sense, because in the database the next allocation for plusses would be +65535. Regardless, there are no new glows after +9.Luke wrote:I thought +255 or +225 or something is the highest, and +9 or +11 is the highest noticable shine
Nope, nothing new at all past +9.Blackdragon6 wrote:What shine is a +13, i heard about it once but haven't seen

@Kuga
Black Lotus...yummieeee xD
EDIT: I hate noobs who keep persuading me that further than 9 glow is more green-ish than blue..OMFG! set up your monitors!

I can at least say it's not Photoshopped.
PS: A cookie to anyone who can figure out how I did it.
Would this actually be a -1 item? Seems like if Joymax is using unsigned bytes to determine the plusses, a wraparound effect might happen.
I imagine you did this by buying an NPC weapon, disabled Game Guard, and then injected 0xFF into the item display buffer. That way the item shows +255, but the SRO database still sees it as a +0 NPC weapon.
Close?

Not at all, you think too hard.numatan wrote:Would this actually be a -1 item? Seems like if Joymax is using unsigned bytes to determine the plusses, a wraparound effect might happen.

I actually just edited what the NPC sells. In the file that defines it, there is also a place to change the plus (it starts at zero). Could it mean future pre-plussed weapons from NPCs? I don't know.
Regardless, the item in the picture is just a level 1 sword. It won't show up as such until I log out then log back in.
Oh yeah, and by the way... From a NPC a SoSun 64 blade sells for ~4.7mil. You can thank gold bots for the inflation of prices on our servers.
