Because Glavie is for a STR player and Spear is for an INT player.

it depends on wat ur doing like str is "best" for pvp and nuker is best for uniques and lvling

lol, dark. glavies are ugly. the moon one makes me wanan barf. the only good one is the 3 ring one, its really cool and another one. im going with spear, cool looking =] if you watch the chinese kung-fu movies with like special powers and stuff you know? like SRO, blade force. balls of fire comming at you. self healing. watch some and you see. i suggest WIND & CLOUD 2. it gets me all crazy about the fire moves =] and INT. Wind and Cloud 2 doesnt really have the cool graphics ass it should be if made now. it was filmed in 2004, but is still cool. ask me about it if you want =]

At your lvl this might be a good build, prob it will be upto 63. But after that killing ppl will become very hard. I know out of experience.

Seeing as how your gear mainly determains your ability to pvp and win, builds unless totally screwed up ( like a pure str with all nukes ) is irrelivant.

However, if I HAD to pick between the best out-of-the-box builds, I would definitely say Pure STR Glaives and Hybrid INT sword nukers, bar none.

EDIT:
I thought I'd come back and add some reasoning - here are the Pros and Cons of these builds. Please note im leaving out GEAR and assuming that if these matches occured everyone would be evenly matched in pvp skill.
Pure STR Glaive:
PROS - Lots of health means great tanking ability, and high resistance to other glaives (most likely resulting in a pot war or a lucky critical) and pure ints alike. The real benifit to a pure STR glaive is the builds ability to continue to lay down good damage but consistantly and to endure huge amounts of damage.
CONS - The average damage, unless a critical, is far less than that of a Hybrid int. This wouldnt be a problem for a pvp against a hybrid spear or pure int spear, unles this person has some amazing sox garments/pro/armor which is a whole different story (gear wise). It would however be a problem if the opponent was using a shield (Blade STR or Int Hybrid/int doesnt matter), considering that a Block can be far more frequent than a critical. This of course gives the user of the shield more time to pot his or her health back to 100%.

Hybrid Int Sword/Shield:
PROS - Lots of damage and lots of health means you deal more damage to a str than a str can deal to you, and you can live through many many many consecutive attacks. Your shield allows you a great oppertunity to regen your health against a glaive, and your knockdowns are even more to your advantage, as your doing the damage while your opponent lays helpless to recieve your 3 stabs (total damage after a knock down for me is around 15k). Then with a nuke, you can finish a pure str off. Also note that you can do as much damage as a pure int, and yet live longer - example - I can take down lvl 80 pure ints.
CONS - If a pure str glaive lands a few consecutive criticals, or stuns you, or both, the chances of you living decrease exponentially. Getting a knockdown is key to your win, as your health and shield can only go so far against a full str. Tanking is also harder for a hybrid int against multiple STR, because you cant knock down and stab them both.

The result are up in the air. It will come down to either a stun, critical, block, a few knockdowns in a row and a nuke, its a 50 50 (AGAINT not considering GEAR).

bluey, im falling towards hybrid int. i cant be pure any more lol. after i played a few days, i liked to do magic more. so i stopped beeing a pure str and started to level INT. i already have bicheon skill since i was a pure str blader. looks like i wasted some skill points to get level 11 bicheon =[ but i like spear though. blades are we damage. im not gonna go pk or PvP. what stats are you?
