Alchemy Chance
Alchemy Chance
Ok...i should of really posted this is Q+A. But since i need to know right now i posted here.
Does the differance between your character level and an items level affect the chance of success.
For example if a lvl6x was to try +5 a lvl72 weapon, would there be less chance of success than a lvl80 trying to get it to +5.
Also does this apply for adding blues and using stones.
Thanks for help

Wow, i think this is true, i am lvl 64, so i always plan out the whole degree of weapons and shields, so i found myself a 68 sword, and 72 shield and sword, i had a 72 ring a friend gave me as well. The lvl 72 sword went +4 on the fifth try, big deal, not that great, then the lvl 68 sword went +4 on the 3 try, then the lvl 72 shield went +4 on the first try, so i felt a little lucky and went and got my ring and only 4 accessory elixirs, +4 on the first try, i couldnt believe this happened.
I remember trying to +4 my lvl 16 som bow so i could +5 it with astral, took me over 40 weapon elixirs to make it +4, but i was lvl 16 when i did that bow, so i believe if u do elixirs with low lvl characters, it has a much higher success rate

alchemy items have their own luck
you can`t or will have an incredible hard time changing certain items.
best thing to do get yourself 2 or 3 items of the same type and try.

heh it's like gambling at the casino.
u always go in thinking you can come out richer.
but in the end the casino always makes money
I've tried to +3 or +4 some sos/som weapons and some have taken so many elixirs that basically I'd have to sell the item for 3-4 mil over the market value. but some items like that i just rather sell and pretend they never existed.
I've also heard some experiences where people find that if the elixirs fail a lot, stones tend to work more often on them.. and if the stones don't work well on them, it's easier to elixir them.. but that might be another fluke chance.
I'd say try to alchemy the items if you feel they're good enough to be used for a good amount of time... and know your limits. Often the alchemy ends up costing you more than the item when you purchased it... =\
